Hi all, just thought Id start this little thread for everyone to introduce ourselves and wish everyone a happy 9 months ahead.
I am from south east QLD, have two DD and am almost in my last semester of uni (woohoo!). After a very long and hard year last year we are finally got our BFP last month. Going by LMP I would be due end of Sept but having irregular cycles which makes it a bit harder, going by when I think I ovulated I think Im around 5 weeks and due about the 5th October. We had a MMC last year at 10 weeks and took another 7 months to conceive this LO. We had actually decided that we would stop trying in the new year look at what to do as our girls are all in school now but alas here we are and we couldn't be more excited (and a little scared).
I have had my first doctors appointment this week to get the ball rolling and have another lot of bloods to do tomorrow so hopefully will see a great rise in hcg to put my mind at ease some.
Best of luck to everybody who joins xxxx

Hi Ksel86!!

Thanks for starting this thread :)
I am from Mid North Coast of NSW and hubby and I found out we are expecting our first a week ago today! I went off BCP in June last year and we have been trying since then. My cycles were really out of whack but finally settled down a alittle so we started using OPKs. Second cycle using them coupled with SMEP we managed to time everything perfectly and here we are!

Going by LMP I would be due on the 3rd but ovulation date would put me at the 5th. I have an appointment with my GP on the 13/2 so just waiting for that at the moment really. Not sure whether I'll get a dating scan yet - will see what the doc thinks.

Currently feeling absolutely wiped out but otherwise pretty good. Hubby and I are both excited but also cautious and I'm trying not to get too far ahead of myself in case the worst happens. Thinking positive though!

All the best for a happy and healthy 9 months and I look forward to meeting everyone else!

Hey Pigling, thanks for joining. Am also feeling blah, especially after eating. Am sooo tired and baby brain has even kicked in, I put leftover dinner in the fridge (or so i thought) but now have been unable to find it anywhere and even hubs cant find it nor has eaten it. Not looking forward to finding that container full of food  and boobs have also grown heaps in just a week, at least a cup size already but holy wow my nips are killing me. All good signs as far as hubs thinks. Look forward to our next 9 months here :)

Hi!!!

I'm 29, DH and I live in Brisbane, we are kiwis so no family over here.

We have been together 14 years next month and are finally pregnant with Bub number 1 after TTC for 12 months.

I started a health kick. 7th Jan, including 2.5L of water a day, and I O'd a week later, which was 3-4 days earlier than my usual! I had O pain and then whacky CM for a few days. I got thrush just before AF was due, and this was my give away! I knew I was about to get a BFP when testing the next morning after realising it was thrush lol.

So here I am., 4 weeks 5 days. Due 6th October

Had a doc appt tonight so getting bloods done to check for a heap of stuff. And have a referral for dating scan even though I don't need it for that purpose, I just wanted one.

I've had niggly cramps off and on since Saturday, when I found out. Can't sleep through without getting up to pee at 3am, and feeling hungry like all the time. I've got rather sore nipples, but boobs are fine. DH doesn't seem be able to keep away though, he's going to cop a punch to the face one day out of reaction to the pretending to go for them lol, he's slowly cottoning onto the fact that they actually hurt and I'm not pretending.

Looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Hello and congratulations FaithHopeLove and Gerbera2015!

FHL - Wow sounds like you have been on a bit of a journey to get to this point. How fabulous that your frostie worked :)

Ksel- Oh dear. I really hope you find that container soon!

Hi everyone. Congratulations on all your BFP's and wishing everyone a happy and healthy 8 months ahead!

I'm 32 and from Melbourne, and have been with my DH for 7.5 years. We just moved back to Australia after living in Europe for 7 years (well, it's back for me, first time here for DH who I met over there).

This is my first pregnancy and I got my BFP on only the second month of trying, so we were pretty suprised/amazed/terrified but very excited, I have wanted this for a long time now.

I've seen my GP and had all my bloods done - some thyroid issues showed up in the first tests so now on medication and have to keep an eye on it but hoping it doesn't cause any issues.

Going back next Monday to get a hospital referral, and then have a dating scan booked for the following Saturday.

From my calculations, based on ovulation date I am 5+3, and due 2nd October.

I had bloods done yesterday and my HCG level (at 23DPO/5+2) was 8079.

Really looking forward to sharing the journey with you all!

I had my bloods done this morning, and the doc hasn't listed HCG on my form so looks like I'm not getting that tested. I've got all the disease ones done though and 4 tubes of blood taken!!! That's a lot!!

Fingers crossed they come back ok.

Do we need to start a chat thread?

Welcome FHL, Gerbera and Ninja! I too am getting niggly cramps every so often, just enough to freak me out then go away again.

Felt like I was awake all night last night, just unable to sleep but tired. Still haven't found that container and I had a really good look through all cupboard too... hope I accidentally threw it in the bin.

Think a chat thread is a good idea :)

Hi all, congrats to all of you!

I'm 26 and from Melbourne. I've had 3 miscarriages and the past 6 months, but this is my first positive looking pregnancy so far, which is super exciting, but also I am so anxious. The highest HCG's I've had in my previous pregnancies were 98, but this time at 5.2 days I was 5500. I'm due start of October.

I have a scan on the 14th of feb, so fingers crossed we find a heart beat!

I've probably been a bit moody, going to the toilet heaps, having super crazy dreams and boobs have only just started aching badly today! I am 5.5 thanks day. What have you all been feeling?

I also had brown spotting yesterday, anyone else had anything like that?

Really look forward to getting to know you all :)

Sarah

Fingers crossed for you this round, those HCG numbers look promising.

I haven't had any spotting, but I'm half expecting I will as over the years I've always spotted, while on the pill and then when coming off for up to a week before AF and a few day after. Had many ultrasounds and tests with no cause.

It's apparently quite common though, so if it's only spotting and no cramps, or at least nothing more than what you've been having (if you're like me you will have been having cramps, mine aren't constant or painful but enough to know it's all doing its thing) then I wouldn't worry. Easier said than done though I'm sure!

Has anyone been experiencing what I would consider half-diarrhoea? For the last 3 days, an hour after my morning (and only) coffee, bam.

I've been getting up overnight to pee, 3am every night, except last night where I got up at 1 to turn off the air conditioner.

Hi ninja ivy! Lovely to see you here and learn a bit more about your story. Living abroad sounds so exotic - hubby and I went to Europe for 5 weeks last year. It was our last hurrah before baby making and I would love to go back one day. So many beautiful places.

Welcome sare26! Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your losses, understandable that you are feeling anxious but it sounds really positive this time. I'll cross my fingers for you!

Well I was feeling great yesterday actually! I haven't had any cramping, just a tiny bit with a touch of spotting when implantation must have been happening. I did wake up ridiculously early this morning though (and I'm an early riser at the best of times) so I took the dog for a walk which was nice.

DH bless him has been doing his own research and advised me that he was totally prepared 'for me to be feeling like sh*t during the first trimester'. Hoping it doesn't hit me like a tonne of bricks once I get to 6 weeks.

Oh and Gerbera, I sometimes get that when I have a stronger/larger coffee than what I am used to. On my days off I tend to make a bigger mug so I can sit and relax with it. Maybe you are a bit more sensitive to the caffeine atm?

Welcome Sare26, sorry you had a tough year last year. hopefully this year is heaps better for us all. I completely understand your anxieties, am feeling the same. Had my second blood test yesterday at 5 weeks and hoping I see a good rise in numbers also. My scan is the 13th and cant wait to just check bub is there and growing just as it should.

Gerbrah, I have switched to decaf so I can still enjoy my morning coffee (decaf tea was doing nothing for me) may that will help?

Hi All, I'm pregnant for the 2nd time since September. First time Mum and super anxious that this one has the right ingredients after a not so nice experience late last year.  No significant symptoms yet.  Boobs are growing though! Waking really early as well and having a few dreams which is unusual for me. Moodiness also seems to have settled! I live in Melbourne, and my husband is from overseas but we don't have any family here.

Have my first scan with my fertility specialist on Feb 22nd (fell pregnant naturally in the end), and have forms for a 10 week and 12 week scan.  The extra one is just to ease my anxiety!

Wishing everyone all the luck in the world.  Its nerve wracking at times but also very exciting.  I've seen quite a few people struggle with fertility so consider myself very lucky to be in this position again so quickly.

Welcome wishfulthinking123! hope your checkup and scan goes well on the 22. Most of us have that same first scan to check dates and ease minds so your not alone there.

I might open a general chat thread for us all to continue communicating through :)

I had something like that for a couple of days, although I don't drink coffee so not related to that.

I think the hormones just mess around with our digestive systems - and I would take that over constipation any day :omg: All the fun things we have to look forward to! lol

Hi everyone,

Jumping in here as I had my positive test yesterday! I have one bub already who is 14 months old. He'll be nearly 2 when this baby arrives. Second time round feels surreal! We never thought we'd have even one, let alone be fortunate enough to have two.

Congratulations to you all! Wishing everyone a happy, smooth 9 months.

I got a positive result this morning! My period is not due till Wed and I have bloods at my IVF clinic on Thurs, so hopefully I'm sticking around here but it's still very early days.

I'm 30, live in Melbourne, and this will be #1. I'm super excited after 2 years of trying and IVF!

Hi Everyone,

I got my BFP on the weekend (currently only around 4.5 weeks) and was confirmed by the FS on Tuesday. Feeling a little nervous as hubby and I have been trying for over a year now and I've already had three miscarriages around the 5 or 6 week mark. This time it's feeling right - I was on Letrozole to get my cycles to 28 days, and I'm also on Metformin for PCOS and Progesterone Pessaries as my FS thinks that my corpus luteum doesn't produces enough progesterone from week 5 to sustain a healthy pregnancy. So all fingers and toes crossed - this will be our first.

I had my first lot of blood work on Tuesday as well, HCG was 31, so hopefully that has shot up when I get my blood test again tomorrow!

I head to Thailand next Thursday, so fingers and toes crossed that this one is nice and sticky and the MS doesn't arrive until we are back home from holidays!

Hi ladies!
Im being cautiously optimistic by jumping in here.
I got very faint positives yesterday and today.  I'm going to leave it for the weekend then test again on Monday (will be easier to hold out because we are going away for the weekend) and hoping that my lines have darkened.
I haven't said anything to DH yet, he wants a baby so badly and I couldn't handle it if it doesn't stick.

I live in North West Victoria. This is our 9th cycle TTC but really we have only been able to BD during my fertile period for about 4 of those because of work commitments away from home.  This will be our first baby so I'm really excited!

Hi all!

I'm 32 from Melbourne and received a faint positive today, will test again over the next couple of days but feeling lots of symptoms and no AF yet.

DH and I have been together for almost 17 years, married for 5 and this will be our second Bub. Our DS will be 2 in March!

Cautiously looking forward to the next 9 Months 🙈

Congrats all.
