Hi EBers,

was hoping for some ballpark figures on asbestos removal. We are hoping to do rennos/extension and need to remove laundry ceiling panels and also friable asbestos from pipe lagging in the laundry and kitchen. Our architect has set aside a provisional cost of $3000, but I'm worried that's underestimating. Anyone had asbestos removed recently?
Many thanks!

We had 2 lots removed. both cost around the $1000 mark.

One lot (sheeting from the bathroom and an old flu) were done by our builder

The other (lino flooring) by a specialist team because of the grading on it.

It cost about the same as the builder had to pay big bucks to dispose of it correctly.

oh sorry.... 4 years ago
