My boys love the game Rush hour. And I love it because they can sit and do it individually (quietly).
Does anyone know anything similar? Preferably games they can play in the car, and by themselves.
My boys are 5 and 3.

Any of the similar games from Think Fun (the company who makes Rush Hour) are good. My DS has the laser maze one, but it wouldn't be very car friendly!

I agree. Ds has a circuit one and a few others, but way too many pieces for the car. The only car friendly one I can think of is Rubik's cube.

I love these kinds of logic toys!

We have this: http://www.smartgame...mes/colour-code It's good, but maybe too tricky to manage all the slides while sitting in the car?

This looks good (haven't tried it though) Maybe check whether it's the right age for your little ppl now or whether it would be better in a year or so: https://www.fatbrain...brainteaser.cfm

I love browsing browsing these sites (and then try to source the product in Australia for purchase):

I use Hide and Seek Pirates and Prince & Dragon (both from the smart games link above) quite extensively in my work (as a reward) as kids between about four and nine seem to love them.

An extensive range of puzzles has been developed around the concept of the Rubik's cube. For the younger age group, the 2x2x2 cube and Pyraminx are easier to solve. The underlying principle of the 2x2x2 cube has been adapted to cute shapes such as a penguin (http://www.cubezz.co...Magic Cube.html). After solving the classic 3x3x3 (speedcubers never tire of solving it as they aim to beat the five second world record), the 4x4x4 to 7x7x7 are readily ordered online from Australian stockists. The monochromatic, assymetrical mirror cube is solved with the same algorithms as the 3x3x3, but the lack of colour cues and formation of distorted shapes are much more confounding. The Gear cube adds an extra twist. Finally, for those who love Rubik's cubes and Sudoku, there is a Sudoku Cube!!
