#26 Hands Up

I've been doing a room by room clean out. Too many things to list but in broad terms I've:
- packaged up DS2's outgrown clothes into charity and rubbish and actually dropped off the charity stuff!
- thrown out some broken toys
- given my wardrobe another clearing out. Tossed about ten items straight in the bin, another twenty or so items to charity

My next big ticket item is the pantry which I am hoping to do before 30 June.

The books were dropped off - the bookcases look so neat and tidy now.

Tonight's effort is to sort out my bills and other junk drawer and then the rest of the buffet.

I am slowly making my way through the house and feeling good about the changes.

Hope everyone else is feeling good.

So I feel off the wagon big time. I'm ok with it though, because I am happy with the progress I've made. I'm doing a salvos trip this afternoon with the stuff that's suitable to pass on. I'm struggling a bit with bin room because I've been doing work in the backyard as well.

I just need to remember it's a constant work in progress.

I am proud of myself though - I've broken the shopping habit. In the past, if I had nothing to do I would go and wander the shops and end up buying things I didn't need. Now I don't go unless I specifically need to, and only buy what I went for (well, plus maybe some chocolate or Coke).

I fell off the wagon too ... again!

This time I'm going to try doing 16 items a day. The total amount is the same, but I should be able to capitalise on my enthusiasm at the start of the month by getting rid of extra items early on.

I'm not sure how school holidays is going to impact my momentum... in theory I might be home a bit more, but possibly more distracted with family stuff. We shall see!
