Hi Ladies, jumping over from the Clomid group, my background:
TTC since April 2015, didn't seem to ovulate at all for a year, FS prescribed clomid and fell pregnant April 2016, unfortunately at the 12 week scan baby was diagnosed with HLHS and had a NT reading 6 times above the limit, so we ended the pregnancy, 6 more clomid cycles and nothing and then while on break for 3 months I somehow fell pregnant naturally this May but we lost that pregnancy at 7 weeks.
Saw the FS for my post D&C appointment and he ordered a miscarriage screen for me and karotype testing for DH which we are now waiting to hear the results back, if something comes back then I assume we will have to move onto IVF with PGD, if it comes back clear then I am switching to Puregon injections instead which I believe is used in IVF.
Kinda worried about having to inject myself with needles and possible side effects but I guess we do what we gotta do.
Looking forward to tackling the next part of this journey with you lovely ladies

Hi jb - I'm sorry you've had so many struggles but hopefully once you get your test results back and have an action plan you'll be on your way to a BFP xx The injections are daunting but you'll surprise yourself how quickly you get used to them. Puregon is one of the drugs called follicle stimulating hormones - we all call them FHS's. There's other ones and they have similar side effects but nothing too horrible. Once you know what you'll be on let us know and we'll give feedback on our experiences.  Of course everyone reacts differently and you might not have any problems at all but it's nice to know what might happen. This is an awesome group of ladies who will make you feel very welcome. Ask any questions you want, vent when you're angry, whinge when you're upset etc. That's what we're here for :)

MissR - has AF showed up yet? From memory that's what you're waiting on so you can get started?

Trying and Shally - I hope you guys are going ok :)

Deeh - I'm so sorry hun xx

AFM - I had some bleeding yesterday which I'm pretending is implantation bleeding but I don't know. It was on 5dp5dt so the timing would be right. I've had nothing since then and believe me I've checked. Darn near wiped my bits off over the last 24 hrs   My BT isn't until Monday the 10th and I had my last booster yesterday so now nothing to do but buy some shares in kleenex and drive myself crazy symptom spotting

Hope everyone else is going well x

Hi again jb and welcome to RSGG! It's great to be on the same board as you again even though it's so tough being back on AC again. I hope you're recovering well. Don't worry too much about the injections, they're quite easy to do and I find the side effects far more manageable than on clomid. When will you get the results of the screening tests back?

Jo, that sounds to me very much like implantation bleeding! Feel free to share your crazy symptom spotting, I'll be keeping everything crossed for you and living vicariously!

Any sign of AF yet MissTR?

Hope everyone else is well!

Welcome Welcome jb...I hope your stay with us is short and successful. re the needles seriously i have been having them for over 28 years (I'm a Type 1 Diabetic)...you get used to them but like Jo said let us know so we can give you a heads up. Fingers crossed your lucky and you have no worries though.

Jo - Im going nuts...I have been waiting since last Monday for my FS to call and let me know what the next step is and he is refusing to look at my file, refusing might be too strong a word but the nurses are apparently putting my file in front of him and nothing is happening. :o( I like your thinking re the bleeding...it is about the right timeframe from memory so I would go with implantation bleeding as well :) xoxo

Miss TR - How are you going? has AF shown up yet? stupid thing...when you want it to work it doesn't when you don't want it to it does :( I have been doing the AF dance for you as well so I hope it has helped xo

Deeh - thanks so much for your advice. We did the release jab and BD as well but I am nearly almost positive it didn't work...I'lll find out in a week or so but I am not holding out much hope.  How are you going? your nearly finished your TWW right?

Hi to everyone else and I hope all of you are travelling well.  Lots of positive vibes are heading your way xoxo

Hey Mrs P - How are you going? I cant remember where you are unto but I hope all is well xo

Welcome JB, I hope your stay here is short.  I'm sorry for your loss. You'll get used to the injections pretty quick, it's mostly a mental hurdle.

FX those are some sticky beans Jo, the timing is right for implantation bleeding, gotta keep the faith.

What's the go Trying have you heard from the FS? Seems quite bizarre.

Thanks for the AF dance ladies, it worked, decided to show up on monday now i'm back to being an OPK nutter we're praying for a natural miracle since we're holding off on the the next round of IVF until september/october so I'm just loitering around here as part of the cheering squad

Hi and welcome jb :) I hope your stay is short here!

Jo, that really does sound like implantation bleeding AND it hasn't continued so I'm keeping everything crossed that this is a good sign!

Trying, grrrrrr sounds like your FS has maybe too much on his plate. I hope he gets around to your file SOON! That state of limbo sucks.

Miss TR - any sign of AF yet? I hope our AF dances are working hehehe.

AFM, I heard that my FS has resigned from the fertility clinic that she was with, and has some legal battles now. So I'm not sure whether I'll be able to have my next cycle with her in August. I've made an apt to see a new FS but I have this fear that he won't want to take me on as a patient given my seriously pathetic responses in the previous cycles..... I had a nightmare last night that I was told that we couldn't have our own child and woke up only to realise that this may indeed by reality :( Sorry to be a downer, it's just one of those days when it all seems like a bit too much and an uphill battle with no wins along the way.

Hey trying! Your FS must be driving you bonkers! Hope you hear back from them soon! I'm just in a holding pattern at the moment - it's been 3 weeks since my MC so I'm waiting for a full natural cycle before we transfer our last frostie. So mainly just stalking and cheering people on at the moment.

Woohoo for AF MissTR (seems strange to write that!). Love the "OPK nutter" description! Good luck!!!

Oh Shally, that must be tough finding a new FS. Don't apologise for how you're feeling, I think everyone has those days. I had one yesterday. It's just part of the IVF roller coaster. Hope you're feeling better soon xx

Hi lovelies! I'm new to these forums but am just about to start my next hurdle of IVF and wanted some friendly advice and encouragement and you ladies seem like you'd be the right fit.
My story starts January 2015, I got pregnant right off the bat only to get to the 8 week scan and find an empty sac.
After 2 more miscarriages that year we had all the karyotyping, lupis, thyroid etc. tests done and everything came back clear.  So we kept trying and had another 2 miscarriages in 2016 (all of them were under 8 weeks but it's still not nice).
On to a new specialist and I requested a laparoscopy in March this year where they did an ovarian sampling to find out that yes I do have a genetic issue that should have come up in the karyotype test in 2015!  So now that we have found out that I have a balanced translocation we are jumping on the IVF with PDG train.  I'm waiting for my next cycle to start in the next week and a half to start gonal f injections.  Fingers crossed to getting some healthy embies and big hugs to everyone else along this horrible road they call trying to have a baby!

Welcome neenabella sorry about you right losses but glad that the problem has been picked up ans hopefully ivf is a winner for you
Quick couple of questions
Can you ovulate when you still have hcg in your system, mine was at 45 Monday but I've been having weird pains which I I usually get when I have ovulated on clomid
And would opk's work or would the hcg give me false readings? I have one of those $$ clear blue kits but don't want to waste it.

Welcome neenabella, I'm sorry to hear about your losses, I hope you are on the right track now and your stay here is short.

Maybe you can ask for FS recommendations in your area Shally? (sorry, don't know if that's allowed here). In any case, vent away, everyone has those days.

JB is did some serious googling about this too, everything I found said you won't ovulate until the HCG is gone but who knows? I felt all the ovulation signs really early on too but OPKs said nope. I used OPKs daily since the MC and didn't get a positive before this AF so I'm tracking away to see if ovulation comes back this cycle.

Afternoon ladies! I've just been recommended to join in here. I'm mid way through my first IVF cycle. I've been a bit of a slow responder but we have had some progression in the last couple of days so I've avoided a cycle cancellation!! Hoping after the weekend we will know more but fingers crossed I'll be having my first egg collection next week. I only have 3 follicles due to very low ovarian reserve but I'm hoping there's 3 super eggs in there. Is anyone else around the same days in as me (day 12 today of stimulation) I'm starting to get quite a few pains in my tummy and hoping that's a sign something is going on!!

Hi there

I hope you don't mind me joining... I'm about to start the IVF journey with low ovarian reserve (although I'm 39 so its not hugely surprising) and a miscarriage late last year. I do have one daughter who is 9 and severely disabled which is why we waited so long to start trying again and now it turns out we may have left it too late....

After discussions wiht my FS, we have agreed that we will only do 3 cycles, but I'm not really sure what to expect. Our appts with the counsellors and nurses at the centre is in two weeks so I guess we will find out then but it would be nice to have this group to share with.

I look forward to getting to know you all over the coming months!!!

Hi ladies, hope you are all going well. Sadly my BFP in June 2WW resulted in MC yesterday at 8w3d... So I'm back here, thinking of taking a break to recover mentally and physically as this was our very first pregnancy after 4 years of TTC and it was via IVF. We didn't have any frozen embie so will have to start a new IVF cycle. For the ladies who sadly have had MC before, how long did you have to wait before you can AC?

I'm so sorry for your loss ori avo xx the the time you need to grieve

My clinic said when you get the next AF you can try again.

I don't feel ready mentally to go through it again after a month so taking time out

Hi all,
I'm joining back in these forums again after about a 6 week break after our first IVF cycle failed. Because it was a stim cycle, I had to take a month off to let my body recover, and it felt like it went forever. Decided to take a break from the forums too, in the hope i could forget about IVF for a bit (didn't work). So now i'm on to cycle #2 and having my FET tomorrow midday. I'm not really feeling excited at all (after feeling all the excitement last time), but I guess that could be why. Trying to keep my hopes down and expectation low.

So sorry to hear about your loss Ori Avo. Look after yourself.

I'm such an idiot - didn't realise the old thread was locked and wondered why no one was talking anymore. Lol!

Hi to all the new group members! This is a great group and don't feel embarrassed to ask questions, everyone is lovely and so helpful :)

So sorry to hear your news Ori Avo, that's so sad. Like MissTR, my doctor said you can try again as soon as you're ready (so after your first AF). Fingers crossed for you.

Jo, I'm so hopeful for your test tomorrow! Full pretzel for good news :)

AFM I'm just waiting for my first scan in 2 weeks. Going to have another blood test this week, I'm a bit anxious after last time's MC and need to see that Hcg is going up. That stressful time when it's too early for symptoms and you just hope it's all going okay and doing what it should be in there!

Hi NikiBeth (and everyone else!)
You and I are very close - I'm up to day 11 today and it is also my first IVF round.  I was getting pains on days 5 and 6 but I went and had acupuncture on Thursday night (I go to a fertility specialist; she's also a registered nurse and registered midwife and has been doing fertility acupuncture for about 10 years - love her!).  I woke up on Friday without any pain.  And everything has been really good since then!
I'm on Gonal F 187.5 and I think everything is going well.  My next scan is on Tuesday and hopefully EPU on Friday.
Best of luck everyone!

I'm so sorry for your loss OriAvo. Hope you're ok. I'll be getting ready for my next FET once AF shows up, but my FS did say that if we needed to do a full stim cycle we would have to wait longer after our MC. Thinking of you xx

Good luck for transfer tomorrow poppy_seed!

And good luck for your BT tomorrow Jo!!! I'm going full pretzel and will be stalking for your results xx

Hope you're feeling good despite the anxiety blue_wren. These next couple of weeks are long but hopefully you can keep yourself busy.

Hope everyone else is travelling well!
