Hi everyone, I would like to withdraw my son from daycare asap. The centre requires two weeks notice. I've been reading my son would have to attend during this time and including last day to receive the rebate (which is fine) however the last day of care would fall on Australia Day which is a public holiday and the centre is closed.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Will I have to pay full fee for the day? Or week? Fortnight? If just the day I will suck it up but if it's for the whole period I might have to do a three week notice.

Thanks in advance!

Pretty sure it’s just that last day that would be full fee. Why not just do one day the next week to make sure you are covered?

It will just be the last day as long as he isn't absent for the days immediately beforehand. Services cannot claim CCB for any absences when the child doesn't return to care - hence why the full rate is charged.

Check with the Director of the Centre. They will know how it works.

I usually would just shoot off an email but contacting the director / manager of this place is near impossible!
