The two sweetest words in the English language:

Maternity. Leave.

288 tamarinds - 1/2 are ripe, so peeled all of those and scouring the internet for how to work with them.

Just watched a video regarding green tamarinds so may contemplate using the other 1/2 too.

And there is no more tamarind tree taking over our front yard!!

Watching DS2’s expressions as he works through a packet of Bertie Bott’s every flavour beans. He’s not yet independently reading so every one is a surprise.

There's a koala sitting in the tree in front of our house! So cute! I've left water out for it because it is hot today. But yeah, Australia is a wonderful place!

Found kid's xmas gifts (Scooter each). Fills my criteria (bigger wheels, fold down, take up to an adult weight wise).

They were already on special, but because I bought 2 I got an extra 10% off. Score. And free delivery to my PIL's place for Xmas so I don't have to worry about carting gifts interstate.

We get them fairly often too :)

I picked some lettuces and coriander today so that was nice to get some produce  (I keep declaring I give up on gardening with the heatwaves but I don't)

6 month old DS high-fived DD today which was very cute

I finally mowed the back lawn - it’s been at least four months, possibly five. I used a full tank of fuel and filled the bin so the last few laps were without the catcher!

Another unprovoked conversation started by someone I really admire and thoroughly enjoy talking too.  It's made special because this person is in a difficult position due to work commitments.  I always feel positive and happy after even a few moments.  It's amazing how special even small things like a chat can be in this crazy world.

The cortisone injection in my sore hip bursitis. I'm getting relief already from it and I only had it this afternoon. Shout out to the radiographer Nick - you know how to find my sore spots and stick a needle in them so precisely that I swear from pain, my muscles clench up and I nearly leap off the examination bed. That's when I know that the sore spot has been located and treated properly.

We have a blue tongue lizard in the front garden now, to match the blue wren family out the back

The pretty new bottlebrush we planted yesterday.

Seeing our 2yo neighbour enjoy the 'magic garden' we made for her. The previous owners had an old planter box with a garden gnome in it that she likes to play with, so we emptied it out and filled it with sand, plastic dinosaurs, shells, a mushroom, colourful bits and bobs, Peppa Pig figurines and an ice cream scoop for digging. She spent about 3 hours in it today :)

Yes, it was great! Though I wish the Mystify Michael Hutchence doco that followed it was on after the remastered 1987 Australian Made concert not before

I was out at an Aus music day yesterday and missed it so am watching now as I rest my sore back and shoulders on the couch - putting your 30kg kid on your shoulders at age 45 has lasting impacts!

We bought some Blueberries last night and had them with vanilla yogurt and left over pineapple, they actually tasted of blueberries (as opposed to nothingness like usual)
