I had my daughter when I was 21, and ended up as a single mum. I always wanted another, but I didn’t want to do it alone. But I never had the right relationship to have that other baby.

I turn 43 next weekend, and have decided that enough is enough. I’m taking Elevit, extra folic acid, and Q-10. I’ve found myself a really lovely donor, and I’m going for it.

It’s going to be a massive age gap, but my always wanted to be a big sister daughter is my biggest cheerleader, so I’m really hoping I can have just one more.

Aw that is lovely, I say go for it!! Good on you for taking control and doing it. I’m 43 too and I wish I’d had another so I know how you feel. Will be keeping everything crossed (or uncrossed haha!) for you!
Good luck! Xx

Good on you.  I have only one, too, and would have loved more (medical issues unrelated to fertility).

My biggest problem (regarding pregnancy) was cured at 52.  If it had been at 42 I'd have absolutely jumped in.

Good luck.

I think this is great! Good for you for giving it a go. I'm in a similar boat. I'm single and getting on a bit but with only one child and really want another.

I have everything crossed for you, keep us updated :D

Good on you. I'm a solo mum who used a known donor. It morphed into a situation where he is dad and sees DS say once a fortnight but I have sole parental responsibility  (only me on birth certificate, I went through IVF with a donor so could do that). All the very very best. It's a rough slog but your daughter is old enough to be a real help given she supports you. Everyone needs a "baby hasnt slept for hours and I am delerious, take it now" person! I had my mum until late 2016 when she passed. You need support as does everyone but you can do this.

Good luck . I had my last at 41 and my first at 23 so you aren't alone there. ( a couple in the middle though) . They all get on famously. Wish I'd had more! Best wishes

Thank you all!
Right now, I'm doing all my health checks, and tracking my cycle ready to start trying.
