Hi I was just wondering if anyone has done the ACT preschool enrolment process recently (since it all moved online) for a school that has 2 preschool campuses and the Monday-Tuesday alternate Wednesday/Thursday-Friday alternate Wednesday model?

Can you tell me, can you preference which preschool campus and which days you get?

We live closer to the off-campus preschool but there is only after school care at the main school (i’ve checked it is offered to preschoolers at that school). Also because of the rules around days (2 day minimum which must include a mon or fri) at daycare and the day the kids Nanna looks after them (can’t move as she still works herself), it’s going to be a juggling act.

Hello

Yes, I did this last year for DD in the ACT.

Our pre-school has two campus's (South and North) and two groups at each (Mon, Tues & Wed morning OR Wed afternoon, Thurs & Friday).

We were definitely able to specify which campus when we applied online. I think the days we potentially didn't discuss until we started talking to the pre-school in person once we had been accepted (i.e. during the parent interview late last year) - but I could be wrong on that one.

Hope that helps

Suggest you talk to the office now and find out if the preschools are zoned, they all seem to have different rules. I have definitely heard of children being allocated to the preschool based on suburb unless they have a sibling at the main campus. This is Northside.

It is so unfair that some have before and after school care and some don’t but you have to go to your zoned school.

They will ask which session you prefer but don’t have to give your preference so suggest you get the form back on the first day possible.
