In pregnancy #1 I took blackmores and in #2 I started with blackmores, switched to elevit, and then stopped altogether. Neither of them gives me enough iron (I had to have a transfusion last pregnancy and was on iron supplements prior), and both give me awful side effects.
Anyone know of an alternative?

I took feragrad-C during pregnancy for very low iron. I noticed a slight change in my energy and everyone stopped talking about my iron levels so I guess they must have gotten better

Try Tresos Natal. You can buy online or from naturopaths. It has made a huge difference to me. The form of folic acid in it it more easily absorbed too.

I am taking blackmores folic acid, a b12 supplement and the ferro tab iron instead of just a prenatal. I had an infusion last pregnancy and iron issues with all 3 previous pregnancies so def need something stronger than the normal prenatal.
