Fingers crossed for your transfer MagsJee, when is your test date?
Welcome Jelly, this group is fantastic for knowledge and support, hope your stay here is a short one.
So sorry this wasn't your month maufie.
MrsP2014 - sounds like a great result, fingers crossed for sunday.
Aardvark - any news?

Congratulations on the great EPU and fertilisation results MrsP2014! You must be recovering a lot better than last time xx
Welcome Jelly! Hope the journey is and sweet.
Another one in the 2WW MagsJee! I’ll be keeping everything crossed for you.
AFM, 2WW is entering the dragging phase. 5dp5dt. Had my last booster last night. It’s all up to embie now.

Thanks for the welcome ladies :-)
Aardvark how long does the genetic testing take and how long have you been waiting? I'm curious since I'll be going down that path too.
Mrs Pemberley I can so far only imagine the feelings that come with the 2ww but I hope it goes quickly for you and your little embie holds on tight!
Fingers crossed for everyone else too, whatever stage you're at!

MrsP2014- great news on the results. I hope this is your month too.
Magsjee- fx for this month. I hope you are just late to show any signs.
Jelly- welcome! It is always nice to have another PGDer on board. Can I ask what you are trying to avoid? We are dodging cf which affects 1 in 4 of our embryos. I hope your stay here is short. I find the pgd frustrating because of additional time delays but it is better than having sick kids!
AFM- exactly three weeks after biopsy our results came through yesterday afternoon. Of the three we had tested 1 is ok to transfer. One was affected by cf and one had chromosome problems. So while I would have liked 2 it is certainly better to have one than none. So I am pleased.

Great news aardvark! Will you be transferring next month?
Posted 14 June 2018 - 05:06 PM
Aardvark fingers crossed that one is THE one! I'm a fragile X carrier which is a 50/50 chance of being passed on for each egg with varying levels of impact.
Posted 14 June 2018 - 08:43 PM
Aardvark I so hope that one is your future success story! Good news xo
Posted 14 June 2018 - 08:57 PM
Great news Aardvark! Very happy to hear you’ve got a lovely embie to transfer xx
Posted 15 June 2018 - 11:44 AM
Aardvark - I am so pleased for your embie. I hope this is your one
That's great news Mrsp2014. Hope you are well rested
MrsP - when are you POAS? mustn't be long now
@Fingerscrossed you asked on the 2WW thread if anyone was watching handmaid's tale. Yes I am, and I love it. It is such an interesting and depressing thing to be watching while going through this process
maufie - I hope you are enjoying your break from ivf and looking forward to your trip in September. Jealous!
welcome jelly! I hope you enjoy our little community
magsjee - how is the 2WW treating you? when are you POAS?
theia - I just looked up ashermans. hopefully that's part of an answer for you and your lining
AFM not much to report, just chilling out until AF arrives (possibly Monday?). I might have a massage on the weekend
Posted 15 June 2018 - 11:49 AM
Ckmelb - I am in desperate need of a massage - this has reminded me to definitely get one after my exam tomorrow!
Glad you're loving handmaids, yes it is a bit close to home but also so well written every week I am just like gasp gasp pretty much!
Are you starting a no-stim cycle when AF comes?
Posted 15 June 2018 - 01:18 PM
Yes do it, get a massage! such a good treat after an exam
I find myself looking forward to Thursday each week to watch handmaids. I am hooked.
I am going to be doing a mini IVF cycle. So mostly natural since that seems to work for me, but with a tiny bit of gonal (25) and orgalutran toward the end to try and avoid the unpredictable ovulation of totally natural
Posted 15 June 2018 - 02:11 PM
Sounds like a great plan CK. And I also hang out for Thursday nights for Handmaid’s Tale- it’s such a well made, scary but gratifying show!
Hope this month is it for you FX. enjoy your massage

I'm loving Handmaid's Tale too. Can't wait for each new episode.

This coming Thursday is the IVF orientation appointment too - handmaids and orientation in one day! yay!
We signed all the paperwork .. I've done all my research...watched the youtube videos... got the support from all you guys - so ready to go now.

I'm going in Monday for my orientation with the nurses. I'm a little bit terrified of the injection part so hopefully they can make it seem not so bad!
Posted 16 June 2018 - 08:17 PM
Hi everyone, hope it’s ok to join in here! DH & I are both 28 and have been ttc for 22 months. I had a laparoscopy, d&c, cyst removed and hysteroscopy last June and found I have endo. Have been doing letrozole cycles since then with no luck and have finally started IVF. Had my first gonal F injection this morning on cd3.
Wishing everyone the best of luck! It feels good to know I’m not alone in this crazy and emotional journey x

Hi all, I'm new here and hoping this is the right group for this post.
I'm 30 and haven't had a period since I got pregnant and mc last year. After seeing a fertility specialist they say I have low AMH but high FSH. He said i have very very low ovarian reserves and suggests giving me a high dose of the FSH to see if it'll produce an egg. (He was doubtful that this will work ) If not the only other option is a donor egg. Has anyone else been here? Any information/suggestions on anything I could try to get my body to produce an egg?

Jelly and fingers crossed, best of luck with your IVF orientation next week. Ask to practice mixing and injecting rather than just watching the nurses. I did it a couple of times, it helps with confidence
Welcome Stevie and SSVL!
SSVL - did your dr suggest trying anything else to prepare for the cycle? I have had high FSH (it varies each month) and low AMH and I am on DHEA (FS recommended) - it takes about 3-4 months to fully kick in. My GP also recommended acupuncture which I am doing, and the acupuncturist has me on Chinese herbs. I don't know if it's all helping since I have 23 day cycles already and my IVF problem so far has been response to stims and bad ovulation timing. I also had everything tested to see if that was causing the high FSH (eg thyroid tests - just ask the GP to test the kitchen sink for fertility if you haven't already). Nothing was found in my case but it might for you? I would also seek a second opinion just to ensure you have someone looking at all options and potential causes. Best of luck

I'm going to talk to him today about dhea. My gp has done a million tests. I think the problem is not having my period and having high fsh they think I'm going into early menopause and they suspect I have no eggs left.

welcome stevie and SSVL may your stays be short and sweet!
jelly- ask lots of questions they may have some suggestions on ideas to help, everyones different as to what they find ok.
afm- we got 2 hatching blastocysts one i have on board and one in the freezer. the other 4 were still going but they said they had started slowing down. so hopefully this month is our month.
Posted 18 June 2018 - 05:06 PM
MrsP2014 - that sounds exciting. Fingers xd for this little embie!
Afm - I had thought the doc was exaggerating when he said the appointment would be an hour/hour and a half but was there for about an hour 45! Lots of info to process, things signed, notes and pamphlets to take home and read. Got to see the needles and they weren't as big as I was expecting so that's a bonus. I don't think I asked enough about how to do the injections coz I thought we were going to cycle back to that then by the end it was out of my head. Not sure when we'll actually be starting yet so will make sure I get my head around it before then or pop back in for another visit.
Posted 18 June 2018 - 09:31 PM
Ckmelb I saw my fs today. I asked him about dhea, he said it's been used in the past by fs but these days they don't really use it as they find it doesn't really help.
I asked about acupuncture and he said there wasn't really evidence of it helping women become pregnant but it has been known to reduce stress (I guess reduction in stress can therefore =pregnancy)
I was wondering how high your fsh is? They told me mine was 43.
Posted 18 June 2018 - 09:59 PM
Jelly are you going to be having fsh injections? I have an orientation in 3 weeks. A bit terrified! Do you have to do the injections yourself or can someone else (ie my husband) do them? I'm not great with needles, i won't even dig a splinter out of my finger!
Posted 18 June 2018 - 10:05 PM
SSVL anyone can do the injections so you, your partner, a friend anyone as long as the contents end up in you your fine.
