Living_the_dream, thank you for sharing your story. Lots of love for a healthy pregnancy!

I saw the Doctor on Wednesday and had all the pregnancy bloods taken including sugars as I had GD last full term pregnancy. With my 12w miscarriage my sugars were already climbing so being cautious. Trying to eat healthy and avoid any cravings!

I am between 5-6 weeks, I am unsure yet. Bloods *might* give an idea! I had my first bout of morning sickness yesterday, drank a tea and it tasted horrible (for some reason) and made me dry vomit twice, hooray! haha

Layla25, what does FRER mean? My test stayed faint for a good week.

What does TWW mean? I am not used to these abbreviations!

Awww dear lying here early morning feeling absolutely miserable. I had a headache so took panadol. Bad move... Ran to bathroom and didn't quite make it so vomited fizzy panadol water everywhere. Anyone else sick too?

Thank you jessekah. You too. I hope you don’t get GD again, at least you know how to manage it and what foods really affected your sugar levels if you get it again. FRER is first response early response it’s just the brand of home pregnancy test which a lot of people use and TWW is the two week wait from O ovulating to AF aunt flow or finding out if conceived that cycle. Goodluck with your bloods.

No nausea here yet, only mild moments occasionally it creeps up. But I don’t usually get nausea and vomiting till 6 or 7 weeks.

Welcome karch and jocarlew and congrats.

So sorry layla please look after yourself.

Ive been so stressed waiting for my drs appointment on thursday. Although i feel pregnant(bloating and tired) ive had 4 positive pregnancy tests and according to dates im 5 weeks tomorrow my husband keeps saying "we dont know for sure so dont get your hopes up". I feel like hes not taking it seriously and when we talk he will correct me and say "if were having another baby" i know he doesnt want to get too far ahead but its all i cant think about. I have absolutely zero energy and im so emotional i just want a little bit of positivity.

I know at my drs appointment my doc will just want to get straight into blood tests and booking my dating scan she wont even bother with a pregnancy test. Shes always said at home pregnancy tests are accurate.

Well thats my little rant from a hormonal pregnant lady lol thanks for listening.

It seems most of us have our appointments this week. Good luck :)

I’m so sorry for your loss Layla. Thinking of you. Be kind to yourself and hoping you will conceive your rainbow next cycle.

Congratulations karch and welcome!

Jocarlew hopefully lots of opportunities to see baby during the pregnancy then and one special little baby it will be when it does arrive!

Possum I think husbands can be like that because they don’t want us to get hurt if things don’t work out or they want to not get too excited until they see the baby. But the baby is in us, so every time we eat, go to the toilet, roll over in our sleep we are thinking of them. I have never done a pregnancy test at the doctors. Your definitely pregnant we just have to wait it out for now.

Goodluck tomorrow blue bean, I prefer to do the dating scan when I am definitely past 6 or 7 weeks. I try and hold it off as long as I can so if my dates are a bit off they should definitely see a heartbeat. Doctor question I don’t know my doctor is my ob.

Hi all!

Tentatively dipping my toe in here :)

i have a nearly 4yr old daughter and got a BFP on Wednesday last week.  Had a dream that I was pregnant so took a cheap coles test at the local shopping centre and it came back with a strong positive.  Tested again about ten times later with FRER and all came back with strong dark lines.  Doctor did bloods Thursday and results came back positive Friday with HCG being 100.  Guesstimated due date is 18 March 2019.

This little peanut wasn't planned AT all so completely surprised but definitely feeling those excited vibes coming through now slowly!

** Please note, just saw my little pregnancy tracker thing which I had last time I was pregnant haha!  I am 100% not 35 weeks!!! Bear with me while i try and get rid of it

Hi everyone,

I’ve got an almost 4 year old daughter and just found out last night that I’m pregnant. I’d be around 4.5 weeks, so early in the process. Going to see my GP today for a blood test and will go from there. I couldn’t sleep last night after that positive test as this pregnancy wasn’t planned as such so it’s a bit of a surprise. Nice to meet all of you! .

Welcome miss manda and possum.(nice to see a fellow possum in the dig).

I know this is a long way off but is anyone interested in a home birth?

My first daughters birth wasnt very nice and although my second was great (i was more informed, did hypnobirthing, was at a different hospital and home 4 hours after birth). Ill be having this bub at the same hosital i had my first and im really worried its going to be horrible and clinical. I really want a natural calm birth so trying to talk my husband into a home birth but hes worried something will go wrong. Hes over cautious.

Hi all, joining this thread! I got a BFP last Thursday. This is my first pregnancy so I have lots of questions on my head. The GP had my bloodtest done last Saturday at 4.5 weeks and hcg is showing 481. As per the doctor’s reference that number is for 2 weeks? Any inputs on this? And when is the usual first visit to the Ob? We decided to take the private route but do not know when/where to start? Im pretty new here in Australia so I do not have much idea on the pregnancy process here. I hope someone could help me.

Thank you and wish us all a smooth and healthy 9 months!! :)

Hello everyone,

Is there a Facebook group to be added to. My due date is 16th March 2019. I have had 3 miscarriages in the past 2 years so hoping this bubby stays put. I'm an old duck - 44 so this will definitely be my last. I have a 22 year old, 14 year old and 9 year old and I'm completely shocked but super excited!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm considered high rik so get to be poked and prodded weekly for a little while.

Congratulations everyone!!!!!!!!!

Hi Missy - my hcg is 280 - I don't think your hcg is showing only 2 weeks - as long as it is increasing each time you test then all is good. The variance in hcg from pregnancy to pregnancy is huge.

Welcome missmanda and possum80 and congratulations!

Possum88 love the idea of homebirth but my local hospital is very close, small and very quiet and personal anyway so I feel it is much the same experience for me and I am more relaxed there. I had great experiences with my first two there and as you know last baby was high risk so I had to go to a different hospital which I also had a great experience. This time I hope to go back to my local hospital but I think it will all depend on how this pregnancy plays out and what they want to do. Would love to know more about hypnobirthing. Be good to give the bath another try this time too.

Welcome and congratulations missy. Your doctor probably means 2 weeks since conception which is 4 weeks pregnant. We are going public since there is no benefit going private where we are. Get our own room, and have always had positive experiences. My first appointment is next week. May I ask where you moved from?

Welcome karenekat I hope you have a smooth pregnancy.

Afm i did a CB digital which said 3+ weeks meaning 5+ weeks as it goes from conception not lmp. So really happy as that’s where I should be. Goodluck everyone who has appointments this week. I’m feeling completely normal really.

Thanks Living_the_dream! I had a bad experience in a public hospital in Melbourne and we prefer frequent visits to ob as I have other medical conditions. Im originally from the Philippines, where in that country we can go directly to our specialists such as Ob without the need of referrals from GP. But here, the gp ordered blood tests and gave me a dating scan request to be done on my 8th week. And she advised to see an Ob on my 12th week. Is that a normal process here? Is there a chance that we could see an Ob at an earlier time?

Hi all. My bloods are showing me 6 to 7 weeks so might just make March!
Definitely have morning sickness, fuzzy head etc, caffeine seems to help a bit! I was weaning off my Ssri but doctor decided the risk outweigh the effect on my mood so here I am on it. Glad to be honest as has been a hard week... Hope you're all going well.

Hi Missy32, you can see your OB earlier. I’ve just booked in with mine for 8 weeks and he will do a dating scan then (GP could order one too but I thought it would be easier to just get the OB to do it). With my last pregnancy I also saw the OB at 8 weeks.

Possum80, that’s a great idea. We could try to book ob on my 8th week and have her perform a dating scan. Do we have to pay her separately for that scan? Or is that already included in the Ob’s consultation fee?

Looks like I might be joining in!

Took two tests today and looks like i'll be due around March 16th!

I'm so excited and very nervous. This will be number 2. Our 1st is almost 2. This baby took almost a year! Much more ime than number1.

I also had a horrible pregnancy first time around. Was chronically sick until birth.. really wanting to avoid that this time around but my night get so lucky :(
I was bedridden for about 8 weeks.
