I buy my animal protein ahead and freeze it in the plastic bags it came in. I would love to eliminate the plastic bags but have not come up with a suitable alternative that will allow me to avoid freezer burn. Extensive online searching brough up nothing so far.
anyone have a solution? #2Posted 24 October 2018 - 01:10 PM
You can get reusable silicone ziplock bags. I'm planning on getting some, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Not the best solution as it still uses plastic but I keep bread bags once we finish a loaf of bread and use that to freeze meat (after shaking out the crumbs).
Plastic wasn't being purchased specially to store meat, rather something was being reused at least once. #5Posted 24 October 2018 - 01:41 PM
which brand of silicone bags please? i do remember my googling came up with this but they were all too small.
