Mrs Mish, that makes sense hormonal issues affecting dryness increase uti risk. Glad you’re past that!!

BFN again for me at 17dpo (or 12dpo if FF app is wrong about my O date).

Ah! Just got a positive OPK solid smiley on CD14! It’s always CD19 or 20! Maybe taking progesterone last month has changed my cycle? So glad I tested early!

Yes disydo, what made you do the opk early? Was it your temp?

#55 Disydo2018

Posted 04 January 2019 - 07:39 AM

Hi Sylvester, no, I stopped temping a couple of months ago because I found it made me stressed. The last two months I followed the SMEP method which tells you to start temping on CD10. This month I’m not following it (too exhausting when you have a late O) but I did think that maybe the progesterone would change things and I didn’t want to miss O so I started OPKing from CD10 just to make sure I didn’t miss it. I normally have the rising estrogen/flashing smiley from CD11 and don’t O for about ten days so I was pretty surprised this morning to see the solid smiley!

Disydo - that’s great news that caught O & that it happened so much earlier in your cycle!
Progesterone can certainly help get things back in order... will you be on it again this cycle?
Sylvester15 - Fingers Crossed your BFP will come up any day now! How long is your luteal phase normally? When are you expecting AF to arrive?
I didn’t bother testing today as I got up to pee twice during the night so wouldn’t really be concentrated enough & besides I have resigned myself to the fact that we are out this cycle...
Just want AF to hurry up & arrive so I can start the Leutizole on Day 2!
Q - those of you who have used it what was your doses & when did you take them? I am on 1 tablet twice a day from CD2-CD5

Thanks babyblessed! Do you have much experience with progesterone? I’d love to hear any pearls of wisdom. Yes, I’m meant to start taking the progesterone two days after my LH surge - so Sunday night.

If you’re not pregnant I hope AF turns up soon so you can start the new meds.

I’m a bit of an old expert on Progesterone... I had to use it with all my IUI & IVF cycles to get my other Babies!
Plus I was on it through out my whole pregnancies as I have an incompetent cervix so it also helps to keep my cervix closed to prevent pre-term labour!
It’s a bit of a wonder drug for me... wouldn’t have my babies without it!
Are you using pessaries???

Bfn at 12dpo so definitely just waiting for af to come now. Good luck to everyone else.

Sorry Pal30 😔
Maybe you had late implantation? 🤞

Afm 8dpo. Testing next Wednesday. Absolutely no signs, I normally get sore breasts around 7dpo but nothing.

Maybe Gilmore girl but with my two successful pregnancies I had very clear positives by 12 dpo :)

And good luck for next Wednesday!

Sorry to hear that Pal :(

Babyblessed, yes I'm on the pessaries. I have to take oripro, one each night starting from the day after ovulation. This will be cycle 2 trying with the progesterone. Before that I had 4-5 cycles with a luteal phase that was usually about 8 days. The progesterone last month extended my cycle to 14 days and AF didn't arrive until I stopped taking it. So a great result!

I did find though that I was completely exhausted on the progesterone - just so, so physically tired. I'm living in Brisbane at the moment and I think the heat really makes it much worse. I know that I do produce progesterone myself until about day 8 so maybe I was getting a double dose with the pessaries and that's why I was so tired...?

Did you find you had many side effects from the pessaries?

My FS said that when I become pregnant I should keep taking the progesterone, at least until the 6 week scan and then I think we'll judge things from there.

Yeah the progesterone can make you really tired... I also would get headaches & constipation 😫
But it’s a necessary evil unfortunately... helps in so many ways!
Yes you will need to stay on them till 6-8 weeks pregnant... if you stop suddenly the quick decrease in Progesterone can cause a miscarriage so I was always told to wean off them...
Also keep up acidophilus as the pessaries can also cause Thrush!
That’s the main things I can think of for now... but any other questions feel free to ask!
Pal30 - I am so sorry! I know the feeling... 😔
Hopefully a BFP for us both next round!

CD 9 here not testing for ovulation or temping this cycle, I refuse to ! Still waiting on call from specialist to be booked in , hoping I’ll be one of those stories that get a bfp just before the specialist appointment . Ah well just taking pre conceive tablets and doubling up on vitamin d tablets as I’m low on it and I’ve read it has impacts on irregular cycles and hormone imbalances when you’re not sufficient in it. Anyone due to test in the next day , waiting to see some January bfps!!

Sorry about the bfns sylvester and Pal30 :(

Good luck Snapdragon - love the beat the doctor mentality! Fingers crossed x

Disy- yay for an early ovulation! I was the same this cycle on Letrozole, I had a positive OPK yesterday on CD16, and normally mine is around CD19 - 22. Amazing that the progesterone changed your cycle like that :) Hopefully we both can catch that egg x

Furbaby - always happy for you to lurk! I hope things are going well for you x

Bfn at 13dpo oh well now just wait for af to arrive tomorrow

#69 #YKG

I’ve got 3/4 more days until AF is meant to rock up.

I’ve been having that feeling that it’s coming any second all week, but every time nothing is there. I probably won’t test until at least Wednesday.

Edit cause I got days wrong

Hi all just checking in😊 CD 9 and positive OPK at 5:30pm, had lots of CM CD6-CD, watery, creamy and egg white all in one day! Is anyone else here an early ovulator?

#71 BabyBlessed#4

Posted 04 January 2019 - 07:24 PM

Wow Stardust that’s a super early Ovulation...
Is that usual for you? Are you on any medications at all to help with O or your cycle?

#72 StardustDreamer

Posted 04 January 2019 - 07:45 PM

My cycles are on average 24-26 days, ovulation mostly around CD12-14, I stopped taking Vitex last month after 5 months and I think my last two cycles are slightly different with earlier O signs, no O pain and faster changes in CM. I don't take any medications just supplements. My cycles have always been like clockwork 28 days since stopping the pill about 10 years ago. Last 3 years my cycles and periods got a bit shorter. Maybe aging?

#73 #YKG

Posted 04 January 2019 - 08:00 PM

Stardust how old are you?
Short cycles can indicate a hormone issue. Have you had full hormone blood screen?

#74 MissTR

Posted 04 January 2019 - 08:24 PM

I ovulate cd10 or 11, I have 24-25 day cycles,  had all the tests done right through to doing IVF and everything is normal, just have short cycles.

#75 StardustDreamer

Turning 37, had bloods done by GP after I told her we're having troubles conceiving, not sure if she did full hormone screen.
