Thinking of an experience rather than an item, budget is around $1000, they’re in melb.

Would love to send them on a cruise but would need to spend more.

They love cosmopolitan style activities rather than quiet getaways/retreats.

Any ideas?

What about a night in one of Melbourne’s 5 Star hotels and a voucher for a good restaurant?

Or dinner and opera/concert/musical? (Although, dinner usually has to be quite early to make it to the start of any performance)

Yes that’s one of the options as a plan B.

For our parents 50th anniversary we sent them to Melbourne for a weekend to stay at the Windsor Hotel where they had stayed on their honeymoon.

What about a weekend away at either a fancy hotel or B&B on the Peninsula - Sorrento or Portsea perhaps? Lots of gorgeous cafes and things to do. Maybe include a voucher to go to the hot springs, lunch at a winery etc?
