How would you approach this task?

DH is doing an upgrade to one of his qualifications. The last task is a mentoring reflection and asks him to document "key takeaways" from feedback and guidance on the previous tasks.

To me this looks like - give feedback on your the feedback you've been given.

The problem is that the feedback has been along the lines of "good work, DH" ... and that the marker enjoyed reading them, and appreciates the effort and level of detail. Nothing very specific at all, no identification of areas for improvement or anything like that.

So what does he write about?

I thought perhaps he could express his response as key takeaways from the training content, but I'm not sure if that's what is being asked? To confuse the whole issue, the training is for 'Trainers and Assessors'.

My genuine answer is was there any key points mentioned more than once, and also any good suggestions that could be improved (I mean good suggestions of anything that could lead to a improvement change)

My silly answer is Thai, Chinese and Indian.

DO you mean key points in the feedback?

Do you mean DH should suggest improvements to the feedback (which he probably should, but he doesn't want to bite the hand that's feeding him IYKWIM)?

He could say the feedback was clear and unambiguous LOL but he needs probably 150 words.

I am sorry I am not sure what I mean!

I am assuming he needs to discuss feedback he has been given by others?

If so then he would discuss any feedback that mentioned the same thing more than once or if there was something that was suggested he could discuss that.

If the above is not correct then I am not sure what the situations is

I’d look for ways I could have improved each previous task and reflect on what has changed to allow these new insights. Try to relate this to some quoted feedback, task description or marking criteria. Kind of like “wow, I wrote xxx but, now based on what I have learned through this course, I have additional knowledge and think zzz.” If I wa being cynical I’d see this as an ego stroke for the unit coordinator. But I guess it’s meant o be a genuine reflection and summary of learning.

This is great, and I would also add my take:

These sorts of questions are often to prompt 'thinking about your learning' in a meta way.

So 'Key Takeaways' from feedback and guidance on tasks would include things that he would focus on next time, improvements he would make and things that he know he is doing well. They might also include areas of interest that aren't necessarily positive or negative.

its important to note that feedback doesn't always involve written comments. Hopefully, they provide some kind of rubric with levels of achievement on each criterion, these provide guidance as well. As do discussions both in groups and with the instructor, which presumably based on the fact that its a 'mentoring reflection' there would (should) have been a lot of.
