Yay!! I have a cancellation appointment for tomorrow- thanks to EBer for recommendation!
Now I need to know - how will I feel afterwards? Can I drive myself home- DH will be picking up kids from school.

So glad for you that you can get in so quickly! When it was me I know this was a relief, for better or worse to have it handled quickly. I was told it might be terrible so I worked from home, but honestly I’d have been fine to go back to work right away, as well as drive. I didn’t have any anesthetic, local or general. He said the shot hurt just as bad as the actual biopsy, so no sense numbing it. Given that, once it’s over, it’s over. You may have some small cramps, and want to wear a panty liner, as you might spot a bit. But it shouldn’t be anything hectic. Good luck, keep us posted if you want to share.

Good luck tomorrow OP!
I have had a colposcopy and biopsy done and had some mild cramps afterwards and a bit of bleeding. I went to work same day. Let your body guide you...

After a colposcopy and punch biopsy? Yes, unless you tend to to get woozy after minor procedures like a blood test. I'd go and get a hot chocolate or something after to make sure I was okay to drive, but I went straight to work and was fine.

Update! Saw lovely Gyno this afternoon, had colposcopy and biopsy, she also is doing a test for HPV, which I haven't had previously (because i'm on the Compass trial and got allocated to the group that does traditional pap tests instead). She saw a little white spot on my cervix which needed a biopsy. Should get results on Monday hopefully.....
