I need to get a capsule that will fit our city mini. Please give me your recommendations.

I have the adapter set that seems to accommodate a lot of different capsules.

Maxi cosy seems to be a common one, but I'd love one that can go a bit beyond 6 mths (if bub's size isn't too big).

I've been told the Mountain buggy capsule is a bit bigger? Does anyone know?

And then there's a whole lot of others like peg perego and infasecure that I know nothing about!

If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

Thanks so much.

Mountain buggy is a 6 months capsule as well.

I think the only 12 months capsules are Britax unity, joie iGemm, and cybex cloud Q.

We have a Britax Unity capsule on our Baby Jogger City Mini GT. The Britax is meant to fit to 12 months.

Chico keyfitt is an excellent capsule. Goes to 9 months and has excellent safety ratings for a car seat which is the main thing .

Thanks for your reply. There seems to be a lot of britax unity capsules around second hand, which is great. When you put it on the stroller with the adapters, it looks like you need the bar things to support it, as well as the black plastic clips that go into the holes on the side. Is that correct? Britax no longer has an affiliation with babyjogger apparently so you can't buy the adapter new. I have a second hand one and just want to make sure that's the bit I need. Thanks

Yes I got both my capsule and pram second hand.
I was a bit confused with the adaptors when I was looking and Baby Bunting told me that you couldnt get one because they no longer had the affiliation. However I went into Babyland (Perth) and bought these

and they are all you need, you dont need a bar or anything.

OP, try not to rely on capsule serving you till baby is 6 or 12 months.
We got unity and baby has completely outgrown it by the age of 4.5 months.
And this baby wasn't a large baby, quite skinny at that time.

Unless you are constantly in and out of the car I wouldn’t bother either. Babies are only supposed to be in capsules for a short period of time before moving positions.

We brought convertible 0-4yrs seats and used the baby jogger as is.

We had this and it lasted until DD was about 9 months (she’s 97th percentile for height) but I think I stopped taking it in and out of the car around 6 months as it just got too heavy.

If I had my time again I’d rent one (I think Red Cross do) and then buy a 0-4 seat when you’re done with it.

Baby Jogger make there own capsule now I believe is up to 12 month markers. It would have adaptors for the city mini.
