I’m 14 weeks pregnant with our second son. Our first is Silas Orion. Surname is a South American name that sounds very much like Avocado. We like nature/hippy/celestial names and Latin names, as well as others. My current favourites are:

Nash
Lorenzo
River
Forest
Atlas
Orlando
August
Sage

My wife and I can’t agree. I’d love to hear more suggestions to add to the list of possibilities to fight over! TIA!

I love Orlando from your list. I wanted to use it but DH said no as it's his cousin's name. I also like Valentino.

I loved Atlas from your list, and Odin was another quirky name that I liked.

I know a couple of Rivers and one Sage and they all suit the names perfectly. Love both as well.

Sorry, I'm not overly helpful, but I like your style. I liked similar girl names as well (Luna and Aurora were on my list...)

The only Sages I know are female, and I feel Atlas is a big name to live up to!
What about Tane (god of light and forests), Jarrah or Ash?

I am a big fan of River, so that gets my vote. I also think it sounds good with Silas.
I also like the PP suggestion of Zephyr.

A couple of others:
Heath
Merlin (I knew a Merlin in a rather hippy family)
Fox
Asher
Tully
Arrow
Jarrah
Clay

I vote for River from your list.

Not keen on Nash because it sounds same as gnash

Nate is fine, would you consider that?

I think of Sage as a girls name and not a fan of any of the others.

Doesn’t quite fit your hippy/nature etc, but Lior would work beautifully with Silas, and is a touch quirky.

Mica/ Micah

Felix
Audax (wedge tail eagle is aquila audax, and it reminds me of Atlas and August)

Sorry, I put Orion before I read your first son's middle name.

I agree Atlas is a big name to live up to, so we’d probably only use it as a middle name. I really like Lorenzo Atlas (nn Enzo).

DW loooves Lior, it’s her favourite, but I don’t love it enough.

Please keep the suggestions coming, these are great!! Thank you!

Aquila
Griffin
Roman
Enoch

Out of these I really think Roman works - it means “novel” in several languages, means “man of Rome” in Latin, is an established but unusual name.

Atlas Lorenzo is a great combo this way round. And I like the fit for the sibset.

I don't think we expect people with names with mythological etymologies to live up to the myths.

Or Atlas Lorenzo nn Enzo. Enzo is cool.

Great names.  Love Orlando and Nash.

Also love Silas Orion and;

Jasper Lior
Wilder
Zephyr (meaning west wind)
Ari - (meaning Lion)
Rafferty (meaning flood-tide, abundance)

Lior would make a great middle name as it flows well with most of the names.

I love Lorenzo / Enzo / Renzo.

I think sadly Forest is going to be associated with Forrest Gump.

Jeremiah?

Lorenzo Atlas nn Enzo
Or Lorenzo August nn Enzo or Augie get my vote. Silas and Enzo sound good together.

Re Lior - I read it as Liar several times and thought that can't be right then read it as Lion.

Yes that's exactly why I hesitate to use it as a first name.
