I thought I’d put in an update about my ds. At 2 years old he had maybe 30 words (as a generous estimate) but for most things he’d just Point and say “gaa”.
Now he is 26months and has had a word explosion over the past two months. He says at least over 100 words , knows most of his alphabet, colors and counts to 10. Although not every thing is fully clear , it’s great that he’s almost caught up for his age. He puts words together but he doesn’t make sentences longer than 2 words (max 3). He’ll probably still need speech therapy to help with pronunciation of some things but he’s come really really far in a short space of time ...

I stopped worrying about DS1 (who we were excited at 27m when he came out with a new word “chippy”. He had only 10 words at 24m) when he came out with “mummy I think perhaps a train may be coming soon” at 30m that is when I stopped worrying.
