Easter Sunday bomb blasts at three Sri Lankan churches and three luxury hotels killed about 138 people and injured more than 400.  :(

I have some friends that flew back last night and were just saying what an amazing time they had as the people were so wonderful and welcoming. It’s completely heartbreaking :(

Similar, I had a friend get back from there today. She was at one of the hotels yesterday.

A seventh explosion has just been reported. The death toll is now above 180.
I am just despairing. Stop killing people. Just stop.

This is both heartbreaking and very disturbing.

It seems so well organised, and I fear the fact that no group has claimed responsibility yet means there is more to come.  I very much hope I am wrong.

Didn’t we return genuine refugees to there?

Extremist zealots unable to leave others in peace who believe they have the right to take lives. Sri Lanka has been through a lot, this is appalling. Best wishes to all those injured and sincere condolences to those families affected by losses.

Wow. Two huge US naval ships arrived there just a few days ago (19th) for onshore and offshore exercises. You would think the security would have been tighter?

My heart is broken. On all the days for violence and hatred, they picked Easter Sunday. I can only pray for those snatched out of their lives, those injured and grieving, and the emergency personnel trying to tend the wounded and care for the rest. I'm so sorry, Sri Lanka.

I feel so sad for the beautiful people of Sri Lanka.
Also Tourism is so important and has been on the rise in recent years. This will hurt everyone there.
