Ok TMI but my Mirena fell out this morning after about 2 months. Of course I will talk to my doctor on Monday, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Does it mean mirena just won't work for me, or should I try again?

Did you feel/see it???
Mine fell out but no idea when or where and was only discovered when I wanted it removed and it was gone.
I’m not sure if you should try again. I opted for an ablation.

My copper one fell out after the first bleed, it does happen. I'm going for tubal ligation though, as I'm done with kids.

No mine hasn’t and was very hard to get in so thinking it wouldn’t come out easy lol.

Thanks for the replies! I am glad to hear it isn't just me. It just came out in the shower. Guess I will chat to my OBGYN about my options. I am annoyed as it seemed to agree with me really well otherwise.

I’ve had 3 Mirena’s - 1 pre-babies, 2 post-babies. The 2 post-baby Mirena’s came out. Not fully out, but poking out of my cervix then needing full removal by GP. Pretty annoying. I’m not going back for another Mirena now

I had a copper one come out during a particularly heavy period.

I liked it - so simple and convenient, but I ended up not bothering to have it replaced.  It sort of affected my confidence in it as a form of contraception.
