If a person was not able to update/upload documents relating to a change in circumstances/relationship via MyGov, they then phoned Centrelink about the issue and were told via phone that it could not be done online or via phone and therefore to go into their local office which the person did. (they apparently have reference number for the call)
They went into an office, supplied information and it seems that copies of the the documents were taken by a staff member. Staff member walked away with documents and returned them again a bit later. However a week later it is still showing that they are still recieving a payment that they don't think they would eligible for any longer and are obviously worried about an overpayment. Should they wait another fortnight or phone up again or perhaps even better is there a way to email Centrelink and check that something hasn't been missed so that they have something recorded in writing?

if I were that person I'd be recontacting centrelink ASAP.

My grandmother needed a pension adjustment when she sold her house to go into nursing care & it was all fixed up by the time her next pension payment was due.

! I will tell them to try calling Centrelink again. Just hoping they don't end up with a debt.

Hi OP, sorry about your thread disappearing for so long,  I had to remove it to make edits but the software was playing up.

Thank you for changing your title.

I have had to make edits to remove reference to a past member who used to supply lots of Centrelink information. Please do not refer to the past member nor the circumstances that lead to them removing their profile.

thanks so much

OP - Get the person to call the Complaints line.  They were brilliant when I had issues with uploading forms and them not being actioned.

Also when they upload the forms the site only allows up to a certain MB,  I had to split my "separated under one roof" form into  3 bits for it to upload. it was just soooo crap

If they don't spend the money - when the debt is raised, they can repay it immediately.

The complaints number is all I call now for Centrelink. The people are pretty good there.

Definitely complain. Our local office lost my documents 3 times, including when they needed to send them to the appeals officer.
I won the dispute because of their incompetence

Definitely contact again. Even if it's their error, the money will still be required to be repaid.
