Can anyone share their experience or any opinion in getting offer for a child on the reserve list with 30+ number to be offered in Penrith High School.

Not sure a poll is a very useful way to find the answer to your question. Historical data from Internet archives shows that the last reserve offered a place by December of the relevant year (when lists stop being updated) was 31 in 2015 and 28 in 2016. Students do have to relinquish place offers to stay on reserve lists of their higher choices, so there may be a bit of movement after that. The number of applicants grows each year though, so it's really anyone's guess about the likelihood of the scenario you pose, happening.

Getting into a selective school isn't necessarily the main option for your child to get a good education. Have you visited your local & nearby schools & spoken to some of the teachers? When I was exploring options for my first child, I only considered private & selective schools, but we tried two private schools & didn't like their communities and the nearest selective school is too far away, so we decided to look at our local school and it has been fantastic. Their performance at the time was so, so, but that was more to do with the students' interests & motivation. With more talented local kids now attending, the achievements at the top match the top selective schools. I canvassed for several years for them to offer Maths Extn 2 as they had never offered it before. Next year, there will be eight students taking the class. A good student can thrive anywhere with good teacher & parent support.

Thanks Sincerely I really appreciate you kind comment and advice. I fully agree with you for the students' individual achievement. Noted that Penrith reserve list last year 2018 Dec was cut out at 26, and wondering progress after that number since the official list will not update the further movement after last day of reserve list removal in December.
