I like Scandi crime/thrillers too. Currently reading John Lier Horst and Jussi Adler Olsen. Henning Mankell's Wallander series was also a favourite.

My only frustration is I felt very invested in Wallander and felt I knew his character well, but the books stopped when Mankell passed and I have no resolution!!

This for me too!

As a side note I did like Kenneth Branagh in the British version of the show (not seen the other version)

I was not sure to put this as although I don't mind the books i would not put them in the thriller category but Camilla Lackberg is good

I really enjoyed Tara Moss's Mak collection (named after the main character). Moss is a pretty good writer and the books are an easy read with plenty of action.

I adore the Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries books too (much more than the tv show which I watched for the fashion). Kerry Greenwood does an extraordinary amount of research for her books and it really shows in the level of detail she's able to squeeze in. Love her writing style too, not a word wasted.

I second the books from miss fisher series,  But I love Kerry Greenwood Corinna Chapman books so much better  set in melbourne a large framed woman who bakes and you get recipes, solves mysteries and has an ex israeli soldier / private dect. as her boy friend ( He loves bigs women)  And she lives in the most amazing apartment block    I m so sad I ve read all the books

I read one of her first books a while back Hades, I am not sure what I exactly thought but I am yet to read another

Crimson Lake has the same characters as Hades. Amanda and I forget the guy's name. There was just nothing to like with those characters.
