I took my cat for his final of three vax today, and he has just been so subdued this afternoon and not his normal self. He didn't eat his dinner either.

The vet did mention he might get sick, but because he's a year old she wouldn't expect it.

Mine did this and he was at least 3 years old (stray who decided to be ours).  He was fine the next day.

Oh good. Thank you. Dh has been making out like I’m an idiot.

So sad to see our normal social boy so sad. :(

Our tabby was like this, too - really, really flat and unhappy for a few days after hers. I mentioned it to the vet the following year, and now they give her an antihistamine each year before the vaccination, since she seems to react to it.

They also have to towel wrap her to do so, and stick the worming tablet down her throat with a stick, because she hates being at the vet so much, but I think that's just an Our Cat thing.

Our one guy is also flat after vaccination. He is back to himself the next day so I haven’t really worried about it.

Definitely normal to be a little quiet and off food after vaccination. Make sure there is easy access to water to stay hydrated and don’t be afraid to call your vet if you get concerned.
