As above, any recommendations for an easy dairy free cake I can whip up today foe a birthday celebration tomorrow?

I've found a fab looking banana cake, but one of the guests is allergic to bananas...

Any ideas?

They both look delicious. Will definitely give the walnut version a go. Looking for more of a cakey cake for tomorrow...

If you google Depression Chocolate Cake or Crazy Cake there’s a few of these recipes around. Dairy & egg free & uses pantry ingredients, so cheap to make. I usually halve the sugar.

This cake is super easy and always a hit: https://www.recipeti...chocolate-cake/

I would not ice the cake, I would dust with icing sugar, and serve with strawberries and cream (for the people that can have cream)

I just sub butter for oil or nuttelex and milk for lactose free or soy with my regular recipes

woolworths sells dairy free cakes in the ready made fridge desserts section... (not the freezer ones) and it's not half bad!

I've made this vegan lemon cake a few times and it's been a hit. I do add extra lemon juice but that's my personal preference.

By far the easiest and most popular cake I've ever made (and I’m not a baker). I sometimes chuck in a handful or two of blueberries if I'm feeling fancy.

Probably too late now but this cake is awesome - it's one of my go-to recipes for a quick yummy cake.

Some great suggestions here.

I ended up making this one and it turned out beautifully (although didn't  need the full  cooking time)

Love the look  of the Italian choc cake up there for nut-free version, and the Woolworths readymade!
