Can anyone tell me what those black crossbody pouch bags are that all the laboring moms seem to have to wear in each episode? I never see them saying what they are, or using them in any way. Do they have documents in them or something? I’m so curious, and have never given birth so I can’t imagine what they might be for. Thanks in advance

Hey Beaches, I've been wondering the same thing! I had my daughter in a public hospital and never used one or saw others using one, so maybe it's something for filming?

I assumed they were for their microphones....

I assume it holds the microphone packs or a diabetic pump of some sort. they usually don’t have one on during water births, which makes me think microphone packs.
Most of the time you see the husband or midwife holding any documents as they walk into the delivery suite.

I'm not sure why they need them for microphones, the other UK series never had them, only the Aus version.

I assumed it was hooked up to the belt monitoring their contractions so they don't have to be restricted to being attached to a machine and can walk and move around more than if they were tethered to the machine.

I’ve assumed microphone packs as other series the women wear something similar but beige in colour
