I’m looking for some experience gifts for kids, in Newcastle. A 7yo and a 4yo, doesn’t have to be the same thing. Previous years I’ve done things like stage shows that were on in January, happy to do that again, but I’m interested in what else there is.

What about the Shark and Ray Centre at Port Stephens? For an additional fee on top of the entry fee you can suit up and get in the water to feed the rays. My daughter did it twice and loved it .. first when she was 5, then again around the 10 mark.

Treetops. Absolutely perfect for the 7yo. Mine loved it at that age.

Oh that is perfect - DD would love to do that too so I’ll see if we can do it all together while we are visiting.

Meerkat experience in Hunter Valley Zoo?  A friend did that for her mother and it looked amazing.

I think the minimum age is 10 years old.

I realise it is probably too late now but my kids received Entertainment Passes for Charlestown Square that look awesome.

There's also Oakvale at Salt Ash.
