Recommendations for a super supportive sports bra please.

I'm after something that's supportive enough for running / high impact work and OK to wear while breastfeeding (e.g. I understand that underwire should be avoided while breastfeeding?).

Much appreciated.

I love my Shock Absorber classic D bra. It has no underwire, is very breathable and is supportive.  It’s only for D cups and above however.

Don't bother with the Target nursing sports bra, it's pretty useless.

I wore an underwire bra when breastfeeding.  It was a normal bra that was able to be altered to enable breastfeeding.  I dont remember the brand but if you go to a shop specialising in bras, they should be able to help you

Depending on your cup size:

Hot Milk does a sports bra (called Activate, I think). Nursing clips, A-frame, flexiwire. I stopped bf-ing a year ago and still wear it as my most supportive bra! ( I have a large cup size though - not sure about the make for smaller cup sizes).

Another maternity lingerie brand solely devoted to sports bras is Cadenshae. I have the Ultimate bra and the Luxe version, which have no underwire but do have shaped, padded cups. Both supremely comfortable but not as supportive as the flexiwire one above. I suspect their cuts for smaller cup sizes (ie not in need of underwire) would be excellent.

The most supportive sports bra on the market, intended for people with very large breasts is the Enell sports bra. I wear a 10F and I’m a size 0. There are about 10 hooks in the front, so it may be more nursing/pumping friendly than others since you wear it like a holster and unhook from the front. This is the racer back version which is a bit harder to find in specialty stores.

I've been very happy with my wirefree high impact sports bra from Lorna Jane. Previously loyal to Berlei, I prefer the LJ as it is easier to get in and out of!

My cadenshae high impact bra has been incredible for trail running. So supportive. Ran very slightly small for size.

I'm 10H and I swear by Freya. I'd check out their wirefree options.

Thanks everyone.

I'm a 10C / D, so it sounds like Cadenshae and Lorna Jane are my best bet.

Here's to regaining my fitness - !
