Guys I’ve stuffed up.
My sister is getting married in a week and I’ve got nothing to wear!
I’ve been losing weight so putting off buying a dress until last minute ... but now it’s too last minute! Most of my clothes I buy online but the couple of dresses I had my eye on will now not be able to be delivered in time.
So please hit me up with any real shops in Melbourne where I can buy a nice flattering “cocktail” dress in size 18-20. I’ve tried Myer and DJ but found nothing suitable.

City Chic? Though I’m not a fan, and they do have a lot of black!

Forever New have a new range called 'Curve' that goes to a size 22.  There are several wedding-appropriate things on the website

I'd love to have an opportunity to wear something like this -https://www.forevern...1?colour=silver

Eponee, I really like that sequin wrap! Will definitely seek out a store to try on, thanks!

The forever new curve range is lovely. I have a few pieces and I love them. It’s not stocked at many places which is a shame. Fountain gate has a stand alone store and the Myer there also stocks it. I think there is a store at high point too but not 100% sure.

Jacqui E often has cocktail dresses, and go up to 18 in most things and 20 in some.

Jacqui E or Blue Illusion have lovely stuff.

When I'm not in a hurry to buy, Rosegal and ASOS are my staples for nice dresses.

If you are on a budget, Rivers Outlet in Ringwood also does City Chic, so will have a lot of previous years stuff and massive amounts of dresses so there's lots to choose from.

Forever New Curve have a store at Highpoint, Fountain Gate and Northland.  My friend went to the Highpoint one and loved it.

Someone I know recently bought this dress from Sheike. She's normally a size 18 and she said the 16 fit her perfectly (I didn't see her wear it so I'm taking her word for it). It comes in a few different colours.

Eta - the forever new curve range looks great.

Are you still down this way? I’ve got this dress-city chic M (think 18) if you want to try it?

Forever New Curve is my new favorite range. I’ve got several things from them.

I love the sparkle dress but it’s very glam, more suited to cocktail or formal wear. Is there a dress code? I like this dress and think it could be suitable https://www.forevern...bluebell-floral

That looks great on you B, but I'm after a knee length I think. The wedding is on the beach and "cocktail" rather than formal so I think knee length better for me than full length. But cheers anyway!!

What date is the wedding? I have a fab City Chic knee-length black sequinned dress (flattering tulip skirt) about 18-20 that I’d love you to wear! Message if you’re interested (am back in Melb 5 Jan).
