I was suggesting OPs daughter stay home if she can’t stand the other girl for a few hours  - not that OP cancel the other kids.

So the OPs daughter doesn't attend, the money already spent goes to waste while the OPs mother takes the other girls as planned.
The OP might also need to arrange supervision for her DD.
OPs mum can't babysit, she will be with the other girls at the show!
Im not sure that's a practical solution in this case.

It's all good.  I spoke to DD this morning.  As PP upthread indicated, she's very excited about going.

And the event is....... Charlie the Musical.

Why would she do that?  It's the OP's daughter's birthday gift!

Concert maybe? Probably Jojo Siwa, everyone seems to be going to that lol.

Totally off topic - but I just looked this person up and omg... I just kind of stared with my mouth open lol. I feel like this girl is going to be very embarrassed when she gets older lol.

All that $$$ she is raking in will overcome any embarrassment I'm sure.

Life lessons about surprise presents and being gracious I think.

I’d sit her down and explain that you were trying to make a nice surprise, but now you aren’t sure, so you want to give her a heads up.

Ask if there’s a specific issue with the girl(s) or they just aren’t friends.  Does she still want to go and be pleasant, or would she rather have a diplomatic illness?   Just like adults do when invited to an event where another attendee isn’t a favourite person.

“Diplomatic illness” - I LOVE THIS! Hilarious.

With all the money she's making that should make up for any embarrassment she feel. I guess it's all an act for her.

OP I hope your daughter enjoys her experience. It sounds like it'll be amazing.

I dunno man, I saw the video clip for 'Dream' and I'm thinking that in 20 years she is going to cringe hard core haha.

*FYI - I'm just messing around and being silly.*
