I have an event to go to, dresses kind of expected.  I don’t wear dresses.

Think race wear / cocktail type dress code (so not overly formal, but definitely “dressed up”). I’m a size 16, and the theme is supposed to be white dresses if possible.

So eb, hit me with some places where I could find something suitable?

I like bird's nest as they have models of different sizes which gives you a good idea on how they fit

White is tricky, but something like this maybe?  https://www.eshakti....dress-CL0071868

They'll tailor to your measurements.

Ezibuy.  All online.  V easy to return stuff.  I've bought 90% of my wardrobe there since having kids because I hate going to the shops.  The really cheap stuff is cheaply made but the European lines and mid- and high range stuff ($40/piece and up) is decent, lasts at least a few seasons.

This is a great option! A simple dress that you can easily dress up with shoes and accessories. And cheap!
