We’ve recently put king single trundles in both bedrooms and when guests stay will bunk the boys in together so the guests can have the king single and trundle in the other room.

I’m struggling to find king single doona patterns that aren’t for kids. Please let me know if you’ve seen any!

We use double quit cover for king single beds. I don’t think anyone makes king single doona covers anymore!

I think king single covers would be intended for single beds.

We used a double for ours, and even then, vast numbers of them were kid designs because of the number of people now buying double beds for their kids.

You need a double doona for a king single bed.

I just did a quick online search of Myer, Target, Kmart, Adairs, Spotlight, Bed Bath and Table, and Sheridan and none of them listed king single as an option.  Maybe that size is on the way out?

You could be right. I found only three at Cottonbox.com.au and five ( 1 kids design) at Harvey Norman website

I couldn't find any, either. Strange, because I'd have thought a ks would be better for a single bed.  I suppose these days anyone in a single bed is likely to be small, but that's not necessarily the case in our house. Our spare single gets slept in by a wide variety of people!

Temple & Webster have some.  Here's an example:

Thanks Quisby Schmoo I’ll check it out.

I had assumed a double would be too short for a king single but I’ll check out that option too.

Pillow talk usually have them & spotlight had a big table of them the other day when i was in there.

I prefer a king single sized doona on the single beds!

When we bought linen DS’ king single (8 years ago), the staff at Adairs advised us that double doonas were the correct size for a KS bed.

It is technically shorter, length wise because a double bed is shorter than a king single. As someone who used to work in retail, specifically in bedding, we’d advise customers to go double for the overhang despite it was shorter head to foot.

Drives me bonkers. But there you go.

I bought kids king single sheets from adairs, but the available doona size was double. They didn't have double sheets though!

Always do the doona the next size up from the bed size.

Even then, double is much easier to fi dvthan king single. We use double on DS12’s single

Double, queen, king quilts/covers are the same length, they differ in width. Depending on brand single are shorter. I got told many times that double quilt is shorter (because the bed itself is shorter than a queen/king) but in my research of many brands it’s not. A double quilt is the best fit for a king single bed. Definitely need king single sheets for a ks though.

As above double doonas tend to be the same length as Queen size doonas despite the difference in bed lengths. We have a double doona for our boys King Single beds :)
