I saw this in another thread and didnt want to derail.

Can you add yourself to a casual pool and pick and choose when you have time to take on a job (obviously once a job is taken on, there are deadlines)? Or do you have to be available for certain times/hours?

Can anyone give me ideas about what to look for/avoid if I try to get some extra work doing this?

Any hints, tips or recommendations would appreciated.

I haven’t worked for this company but I use their service (I highly recommend it actually, they are great). It seems like their might offer what you are after in terms of freelancing?

You could also look at https://www.vadirectory.net/

You can become a member and they send around job leads. I joined a few years ago and it's paid off in spades.

This might not be what you are after, but my employer (a bank) uses this firm a lot, as we are re-designing our website/internet banking.

Basically you get paid to user test and point out errors, issues etc.
