I'm going to place a booktopia order.
Id like a couple of new picture books but its hard to tell online whats good and what isn't.
Id quite like some of the classics like the 3 little pigs or red riding hood. when I type that into booktopia so many options come up! I'm looking for the traditional story.
can anyone help with any recommendations? for the above or anything else?
just as a guide I like the following: Noni The Pony, Possum Magic, Wombat Stew, Room on The Broom.  I have a lovely goldilocks and the three bears book already.
thanks !

Anything by Alison Lester! She is amazing, we love all her books so much.
Also all the hairy mclary books by Lynley Dodd.

If you've got Room on the broom, then look at other Julia Donaldson books like Zog (fantastic!), Zog and the flying doctors, Stickman, the highway rat, the gruffalo, the gruffalo's child etc.

We also have almost all the little people big dreams book, but they have quite a bit more writng. My 3 year old LOVES them though, they are her favourite books.

As far as your classics go, Margrete Lamond will be exactly what you're after.
