Her gorgeous little William is now 20 months old, and is the icing on the cake !
Two days later the phone rang. It was my shared
"Elizabeth, you've had the triple test ?" she asked.
"Yes I did" I replied.
"There might be a problem with your baby ...
I have made an appointment with the obstetrician for
counselling and we want you to have an

Liz, the road you have travelled has been so bumpy sometimes. I hope you proudly hold your head up when you walk as a family.
I know how trying times have been just having had two boys close together, I truly couldn't imagine having 3 children and 2 with high needs. Well Done!

Thanks girls, just saw this. Yes it is hard at times with the kids, in fact dealing with a few problems at the moment within so am kind of laying low.
I thought I had better respond though.

Liz we all said you were special mum in our June 02 Mother's group and it has definately been shown in this story about you.
You should be so proud of yourself and your beautiful kids.

You already know what I think about you as a person and as a mummy to those 3 beautiful kids.
Keep your chin up through this hard time your having, and remember those kids love you so much as does J.
You know where I am, don't hesitate to call.
Oh and that wedding photo looks familiar, in fact it looks like my hallway in our old house, oh that's right it was my hallway.
Miss ya heaps, sure you don't want to move back?

I had actually noticed your absence from the boards recently, and was considering PMing you to see where you were and if everything was OK - but decided not to in the end, as we dont know each other.
Just wanted to say I was thinking of you recently. Having just read now, that things are a little topsy turvy in your world - but I hope they are getting sorted.
I think William is gorgeous (as are his sisters) and you are one very brave lady. What a lucky family you are to have so much love.

Just read your story and fully realized how hard it must be for you. But you are doing a wonderful job with all of your kids and we love having you, both on EB and in our June 2002 mother's group. Keep smiling! We are always there for you, no matter what.

Liz what a wonderful story.
You have not the easiest life and have gone through some very difficult situations..... but you must be so proud of yourself and hold your head up high and as the love for your children shone through in the artical.

I too was touched by your story.
You strike me as a strong and couragous lady, who as others said is often there to support and help others.
I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster you have been on, but overall your love for your children shines through.
Pat yourself on the back and remember you are doing a good job.

Hiya Ally and I see congrats are in order!!!!!!!
I do love my kids dearly (today is a good day LOL). There are days that are really really tough but I am thankful I have a dear friend who I use as an example to get by and sort of learn off her what to do with William.
I dont think I am any different to any other mother on these boards. In fact I think there will be so many more stories we will get to read over time that will be more inspirational than I could ever think of being. As I told Jo2, it was actually her and little Rachel who dh and I thought of the night we found out Billy had downs. I know I drew strength remembering her story and realised how lucky I was.
I dont think I am deserving of being called brave and inspirational, truth be told I can be a right sooky wimp at the best of times LOL. I have 3 children I am a mother to them. One has downs, but he is still a child who needs the basics like my other two and I am just doing what any other mother on this site would do.
But thank you all for your wonderful words and feedback. It is appreciated and very thoughtful.
