Hello girlies,

Tanti - you brought a lump to my throat the way you talk about your brother.  I've always admired mine even though he was a little sh&t when we were young.

Maura - thank goodness for your sister's health.  Speaking of housewarming BDing, we got pretty much stuck into it this weekend (evil smile).  It's been so hectic lately that we forgot how good it was just to be us two.

Donna - how are you going?  Are you OK?  I don't know if I can be very supportive at the moment because right now, I'm feeling as scared as you.  Just know that we're all thinking of you and willing this baby to stick with all our hearts.

Baby3 - welcome to the group and good luck on this journey.

Mel - sorry to hear you're still bleeding.  Did you have d&c last time?  I had three weeks of it and was ready to kill by the end of that but we're all different I suppose.  Thank you for passing on Donna's news.

Mim - sorry to see you here but it's a pretty good place for support.  Good luck to you.

Hi there Georgi, Rachel, Kate, Poly, Tanya, Suz and all of you girlies I've missed.

No news from me.  As stated, had a good weekend of BDing - had to beat DH off with a stick half the time LOL TMI.

Take care all,
Dianne.

Kerri - congrats on BFP. biggrin.gif

Miraclemum - congrats on new house.  biggrin.gif

Sorry, been MIA again.  Am feeling like a beached whale at the moment who is always in need of a good nap (sometimes hard to do with a nearly 3yr old around).  Nothing much to report.  Pregnancy still going ok, everything normal.  Next OB apppointment at 38 weeks.  OB thinks I will have another 8 pound baby and be overdue again.  wacko.gif

All the best to everyone.  biggrin.gif

Hello Ladies

Thank you so much for the congrats, still pretty happy here and sinking in.

I went to the doctors today and have just come back from blood tests for just about everything I think. I asked the GP whether I needed to go back to the Obs as I just had shared care with my two girls and he said it would be best as this is a higher risk pregnancy given my age (38 in April) and the fact I just had a cone biopsy.  Gave me all the stats on downs etc and talked about amnio's so now I feel really old!  blush.gif   There is also a higher chance of a late miscarriage due to incompetent cervix as they have chopped some out so I can probably look forward (NOT!) to a stitch.

Anyway booked in at the Obs and got the gate keeper of a receptionist who told me the apptm would be when I was 12 weeks, when I said the GP thought I needed to see him before that she grudgingly got me a week earlier.  Did you guys have any tests before 12 weeks apart from bloods?  And did anybody have an amnio, would appreciate your experience.

Cathy - my DH came here when he was 2 and a half with his family, he went back for the first time on our honeymoon 10 years ago.  I loved Holland and one day we will go back again original.gif

Miraclemum - how exciting Congratulations on the new house

SLJ - I can't believe how many pregnant ladies are around, must be just noticing it more.  I must say I am looking forward to some parts of being pregnant but not others. Hope you are surviving the hot weather.

Claire - thanks, I bet your friend is over the moon that IVF worked for her.  I am trying to be positive too even after all the stats they throw at you.

banana-peel - thanks to you too, wow next appt at 38 weeks, your getting into the business end of things original.gif  Hope you can manage a bit of a rest here and there especially in this heat.

Hi to everyone else, hope all is well.

Hi All

Just a quick one today, have to go and pick up my brother, he's just had his gall bladder out and is going stir crazy at home, so Haydn and myslef are going to oick up uncle Ian, and take him for a drive!  lol

Claire - Your lift experience must have been very scarey....I hate lifts, would rather take the stairs.  ohmy.gif

Dianne - I read your post and thought....hmmm ok didn't think I had missed that much....lol Figgured you had a bit of a malfunction!

Sharon - 24 weeks, wow time is flying by. Haydn is 11 and a half weeks, almost 3 months, time gets away so quickly.

Bananpeel - over 36 weeks, wow getting close now, how are the nerves?

Kerri - I had the nucal fold scan and bloods done, at 12 weeks they came back with 1:4000 chance of downs and 1:25000 chance for the other one they check, so those odds were better than expected for my age so we decided not to have any further testing done, even though we understood that there were no guarantees with the nucal fold/bloods.

Susan yes the cubby house is a hit, it is really hard to get her to go to Daycare in the morning..all the puppies and babies are in there with pillows nappies(cloth her comforters)etc.. it is getting crowded.

Isadora - my GP sent me for a 6 week dating scan(at about 7weeks).  It made me relax as it also told me if it was not a blighted Ovum, apparently the heartbeat can't be seen until the 6 weeks mark.  I actually thought I was further along but it said I was only 6 weeks(ovulate later in the month than the norm).  My previous pregnancy MC at 6 weeks..but my blood work gave an indication all was not well.  I had a CVS for both pregnancies..if you want any detail just ask..

banana-peel  Sleep as often as possible it got harder for me..
DD1 gave up her afternoon nap and I cried.

Better go   Hi everyone else..I love reading all these posts..

Hi everyone,

How is everyone,  Kerri congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope everything goes well.  Regarding the nuchal scan  I had a risk factor of 1/165 chance of having a down syndrome baby.  My obs said I could have the amnio but I refused because even if she did have down syndrome I don't believe in abortions.  Anyway everything turned out fine and she is very healthy apart from her reflux and turned in foot that she is having treatment on.

Bananapeel good luck for your impending birth I hope everything goes well for you.

Susan, I know what your brother is going through I had my gall bladder out after having my first child when I was just 25 and you can't do anything for a while and get bored easily.  Ashleigh is also on 150ml and she is on medicated formula called Peptic Junior to help with her allergies and her reflux.  She is also got a cold at the moment like the rest of my family.

Went to see ENT specialist the other day and have to have catscan done on my sinuses in a couple of weeks after the period of time I am on rhinocort for.  It cost me $247.00 for this visit.  I also went to see my gyno this week and he inserted a mirena IUD and ever since I have been having cramps and back pain.  I am only planning to trial this for 12 months and then I plan to TTC number 6 and after my next one I plan to use the mirena for full time contraception.

Well the kids go back to school on Tuesday,  I have three going back to school with my daughter starting kindergarden on Tuesday as well.
