I just had a beautiful baby girl who is now 5 and a half weeks old, in the comfort and safety of our own home. We had 2 midwives and just my husband and I present. It was a fairly short labor, about 6 hours of the hard stuff. April was born at 5:45 am, wighing 8 pound 11 ounces... mum very pleased to be completely in tact, with no tearing, not a stich required. This is our first baby. If you are thinking about a homebirth with a qualified midwife to assist you... have a chat
