Hi Beck,

Yep you can use these fonts for Word.

To install them,

Save them straight into the Fonts folder, which is in the Windows folder.

When your download is finished, click on Open in Downloads box.  The folder with the font in it will open up.  Click on where it says "Extract all files" under Folder Tasks on the left of the window.

The extraction wizard will start, click Next, then under where it says "Files WIll Be Extracted To This Directory" make sure it says C:\WINDOWS\Fonts,  Click Next and follow the process.

Next time you open Word, it should be in the fonts list.

I hope this makes sense! original.gif

Also, please note that the above instructions are for XP.

Bubble Mumma, since most if not all files are zipped, you need to extract the files first.  Once extracted, do the following,

1. click on the Start button
2. click on Control Panel and a window will open
3. in that window, look for Fonts folder and open it
4. go back to the folder where your newly downloaded fonts are kept. Copy the file.
5. go back to the Fonts folder (step 3) and Paste it here.

This is another way of doing it.  The steps described by Sally is the correct way to do it.

http://www.dafont.com is a very popular site for fonts with the graphics forum arena.

Any fonts you d/l and install into your windows fonts folder can be used with any program you have.

It's much easier to use a font viewer for fonts.  That way if you're doing scrapbooking you can check your fonts much easier.

http://styopkin.com/

Also another tip (if not already given) is to keep a copy of your fonts that you d/l in a seperate folder and burn to cd so that if you ever format your pc you will still have a copy of your fonts and won't have to d/l them all again.

edit: it might be handy (if not already done) to make a new topic that is read only  and to list all the font sites and make it a pinned topic so it doesn't get lost in the abyss.

To add a mini-ticker in your bi-line (just under your username):
- Control Panel - Personal Settings - Edit my profile
- Member title
- Paste the code in, using this format:
CODE
<img src="http://address.com/ticker.png>

Often you will have been given a long string of code, but it is just that short part of it you need.

To add a ticker in your signature (appears at the bottom of your posts):
- Control Panel - Personal Settings - Edit my signature
- Paste the code in, using this format:
CODE
[img]http://address.com/ticker.png[/img]

Please note that only one image or ticker is allowed in your signature.

More information and guidelines can be found here for Signatures and here for tickers.
