Well, finally I feel safe enough to post in my own thread tongue.gif

After an early m/c with IVF#1, FET#1 has resulted in a TWIN pregnancy.

Both cycles we transferred 2 embryos - always the quality was great (even after thawing)

Currently 10wks with fraternal twins!! Due 19.07.07.

IVF #2 transferred 2 day 5 blastocysts and were warned that the chance of twins was very high - and twins are now on the way.

Also transferred two embies on the FETs but they didn't look so good after the defrost.

Really interesting to see the different results from people!

Hi Grub

well three october tww expecting twins, that in it's self is excellent, though october was a good spring month.

FET #1  2 embies transfered 1=8 cell; the other 5 cell, both were good grade. Beta 15 dpo 162, which i was told was good singleton level, scan at wk 7 nil found.

FET #2 2 embies transfered, due to me having an LH surge cycle was brough forward so embies transfered a day earlier than FET #1 both were 4 cell good grade. Beta 15 dpo = 900, due to christmas I don't get a scan till 16th Jan (wk 10) but a beta at week 5.5 = 150,000. therefore outcome unknown  wacko.gif

Given that since my last one, techniques have improved...I"m curious about the Twin rate when 2 Blasts are transferred. I've seen it mentioned twice here...both twins...

Woo Hoo...things are looking up!

I"ve been told they'll defrost 5 of my 3 day embies, grow them to blasts - transfer two and then refreeze then rest...apparently with great success..

Any thoughts?

Oooo Good Luck Roachie!! Sorry I can't really help with blast info.  Maybe re post this in the main section of the pregnancy/parenting after problems trying to conceive or the twins forum.  You might get a bit more interest as people don't tend to read the pinned topics on a regular basis.

FET from same batch of IVF embryos, 2 very good and progressing embryo/blasts and we have DD2 AND DD3.

We had boy/girl twins from our first cycle.

We got 4 eggs of which 3 fertilized (using ICSI).  All were considered excellent quality.  2 were transferred on Day 3 (on the recommendation of our FS) and twins conceived.

Great to hear things are going well for you.

I know nothing is a cert till that scan - but DH is away and I need a hobby!!!

My Hcg Levels so far...

Now that I'm pretty much out of the "woods" I'll reply to this one.

IVF #1.  11 eggs, 8 of which fertilised, 2 divided abnormally, 4 didn't divide at all.  We had 1 fragmented 6 cell embie & 1 decent 9 cell embie resulting in twins (gender unknown at this stage).  They were t'f on day 3 as it didn't look like they would make it to blast stage.

Had scan #2 today bubs look fab & strong.  I'm 10wks 4dys today.

IVF FET  #1 - transferred 2 embies, 2 sacs but only 1 heart beat resulted in baby girl

IVF Natural FET #2 - transferred 1 embie resulted in baby boy.

My OB who is a multiple birth specialist at Frances Perry/ RWH is very opinionated on only transferring 1 at a time (secretly to my horror as I would love twins!)

I had 6 IVF cycles and 3 FETs. All embies where blasts.

Mostly transfered 1 but last FET transfered 2, resulting in BFP then miscarridge at 5.5 weeks.

Last fresh cycle transfered 2 resulting in single pg.

But I was 42 at the time, so my chances of twin pg were very reduced. Your age and the stage that the embies have reached (2day, 3 day or blast), are so relevant to the chance of twins, that I think everyones situation is very different.

ICSI #1 - 1 x day 2 transferred. BFN
ICSI #2 - 2 x day 5 transferred BFN
FET     - 2 x day 5 transferred BFN
ICSI #3 - 2 x day 5 transferred BFN
ICSI #4 - 2 x day 5 transferred BFP !!! Scan has showed healthy fraternal twins

on icsi #4 it was our last go, so we did chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture and I did nothing in the 2ww as I was bedridden in hospital with severe ohss for 8 days of it. That was NOT fun.

My hcg on 14dpo was 538 and on 21dpo was 3100 well within the normal limits for a singleton (on the high side) and twin pregnancy.
