Good morning all,
I have made Cornflake cookies from the side of the cornflake packet a couple of times now and each time they seem to be under cooked. I follow the recipe except I use butter instead of magarine.
Does anybody have any ideas why this could be happening or have they made them and had the same problem?

I guess the possibility exists of differences in temperature between your oven and the recipe, but this mightn't be so...
A friend always preheats her biscuit tray, then gets it out of the oven just in time to spoon the biscuit mixture on there. Hers are always nice and crunchy on the bottom, but I haven't tried this.

I have made them a few times and always have to leave them in a lot longer than 10mins (more like 20mins, depending on how brown I want them).
My oven is fan-forced electric and I often have to watch that it doesn't overdo other foods, so I am wondering what oven they used when they wrote the recipe!
BTW, I use margarine so that can't be the reason!

I might try the self raising flour thing and cook them for a bit longer.
I used the malt corn flakes last night and they were yummy.
