What are your top 3 money saving tips?

These are great tips, I am glad I found this topic!
The biggest part in saving money  for me is planning ahead. Unfortunately I am often lazy to do so.

My top 3 tips:
1)  Know the price at competitors, including specials.  I've found that shopping between 2-3 supermarkets saves up to 50% off the total bill.  An app like Trolley Saver works really well for groceries and Lasoo works for big-ticket items

2)  Buy in bulk - but store excess properly so there isn't any wastage.  Throwing food away is the worst!

3)  Experiment with non-branded products.  Sometimes the quality is just as good!
