TT - how long to persist with a stubborn 3YO?

DD has just turned three and we have again started TT after a disastrous attempt early last year. She is happy to sit on the potty for up to 20 minutes reading books and has been wearing terry toweling training pants for the last week. However she has never done a wee in the potty (she has been sitting on it happily for ages but no joy!!).
She is currently weeing in her training pants and not telling me. After every one I sit her on the potty and go through the whole wipe/wash hands and change pants process. When I ask her between times if she needs to go to the potty she replies with a very firm 'no thankyou'. Any mention of weeing in the potty gets a reply of 'I don't want to do that'. Stickers have been no incentive either!
So I really don't know if I should keep persisting, or just give up and go back to nappies for a few months?

How often is she weeing in her training pants? Is it at regular intervals?
I have just put DD in cotton undies (for a week now) and ask her every now and then if she needs to go. Most of the time she says no. I used biscuits as a reward as the stickers never worked for teeth cleaning so didn't even bother with them for TT.
I have found my DD can go a couple of hours without doing anything and then know that soon she must have to let it out, so I ask her to sit on the potty. If nothing happens in 5 minutes then she's off. But if she does need to do something I have found that now after a week of doing this she will release the wee straight away once she sits.
We made a really big deal of it the first time she pee'd and she got some little biccies and now she does it to either impress us - or she wants a biccie
Oh, she will be 3 in 2 months.

We were having similar issues with DS and doing a poo in the toilet. We actually found that what worked was just leaving it. We stopped constantly asking him and he did eventually just decide to do it himself. He's been going good for about 3 weeks now (probably about 3 accidents in that time) so perhaps try just stepping back a bit? Hope that helps. Good luck.

DS (3 in September) has been in undies for about three weeks. We tried to TT him a couple of months ago, but he refused to sit on the toilet so we decided to wait awhile. We give him a smartie every time he does a wee, and he now goes himself without us having to remind him. Although he still hasn't done a poo on the potty yet, that gets done in either his night-time nappy or in his undies.
I would probably step back until she is ready to sit on the potty and actually do a wee, or find a reward that she responds to rather than the stickers.
