am going to buy bub some yogurt but was wondering if i was able to buy him a fruit flavored one or if he has to have the plain stuff? id rather get him the fruit one so that dh and i can have it aswell cause we arent too keen on the plain stuff

normal yoghurt is fine. i used it on DD, until i switch to lactose free, cause of her eczema.

My DD loves the Brownes muesli munch. She is not keen on natural yoghurt so I often buy a small pot and mix it with a flavoured one to reduce the amount of sugar she gets.

I just get my DD the Vaalia or Yoplait baby yoghurts. The Vaalia one's are just plain vanilla so you could add some fruit to that. The Yoplait come in Vanilla and other flavours like Peach, Pear, Banana etc.

If your not sure just buy any baby yogurt. There are heaps of types out there. Look on the packet for 'suitable from 6 months' and you'll be right!
I gave my son Vaalia at first because the tubs are so small, and then moved on to Nestle (12pk!), because he can't get enough of the stuff!

I was told to stay away from baby yoghurts because of the sugar content, so I use the plain set yoghurt and add banana or pureed pear for bubs. I haven't tasted the baby yoghurts available so I'm not sure whether they'd suit an adults taste buds anyway!

I think that both the baby yoghurts as well as the fruit yoghurts are very high in sugar.
Why not try a plain full fat yoghurt and, as PP suggested, add your own fruit?

I get Jalna, its yummy and i add banana or pear or apple in it for DD and if she doesnt eat it all i polish it off for her
