hello, i was wondering .... if the only difference between Avent Teets 1, 2, & 3 is the number of holes, would it be possible to safely (ie sterilised needle) put another hole in Teet 1 to make it a Teet 2 etc? Is that all that's required to make them faster or is there more?

I just had a look at my avent teats and if you look closely you can actually see a hole IYKWIM, I think if you put a needle through the teat it would peirce it but not make a hole I would think that it would just stick back together when you baby drinks through it and not really do much. I found some cross cut teats at woolies that fit the avent which the baby is supposed to determine the flow they require, maybe you could try something like this?

I have brought the variable flow teats for my DD's Avent bottles.... They flow at three different speeds depending on which way you have the teat.
I tried adding a hold to my DD's 2 hole teat & it ended up flowing too fast for her causing her to gag.
