Nappies unwee-ed on, what do you do?

DD is 2 1/4 now and starting to have dry nappies. We've been so into the routine of changing her that it usually comes off before we've realised it's dry. Seems silly to wash it again and I'm thinking a little time on the line would be a good idea before re-using.
What do you do/think?
Also would lemon juice work to brighten white (more like gray!!) fleece inners? Would it affect the nappy like vinegar and bleach do?

I sometimes put them back in the pile if they'll be used again that day At bathtime I usually just throw them in with the washing.

I just leave them on the top of the change cupboard and use them at the next change.
With nappies that have been poo'd in but not wee'd in, I sometimes just put in a new microfleece liner and use the nappy again straight away if the inner of the nappy is still clean.

Good to hear what others are doing!
I s'pose that I'm just wondered if, unlike undies, reusing them without a bit of sunning might still have nappy rash implications IYKWIM
Any thoughts on the lemon juice idea?

a clean dry nappy can't possibly cause nappy rash, so there's no reason to change a nappy that's dry until it's unhygeinic to keep wearing it - i.e. - the same length of time youd wear your undies.
something I haven't heard before is that vinegar and bi-carb affect the nappies. I have been told to put vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser to wash mine. What is the problem potentially with that? someone please advise me!

My DD is about the same age and often dry when I go to change her, so I don't, just check and put back on. If it's time for bed and nappy is dry I sit it on top of the change table to put back on first thing next morning. Like PP said, we wear the same pair of knickers all day.
Can't help with the lemon juice.

Haha funny this should be asked tonight...
We've just got home from being out for dinner and I was changing DS into a night nappy from a Honeyboy that was compoletely dry and it went straight back onto the top of my nappy pile for use tomorrow. I figure why waste that nappy by washing again and waiting till it dried when it was not soiled at ALL.... so that's what I do

Well I will learn to check nappies more thoroughly Just got into the habit of changing her I guess.
I've tried plenty of sunshiine for the gray fleece problem but no luck. I haven't done the strip wash with bicarb yet - that's prob the way to go
