Do you mean fight it out

Or were you referring to having a good ole b**ch.

I hope you were referring to the latter because I have a huge list & was hoping to make a dent in it grin.gif

I've had a bad week! Can you tell!

OMG tasha that is a joke!!!
Anything that happens inside a retail store is under the responsibility of the store so they were fully at fault.

What if it is not their fault? What if they were just not keeping an eye on their child and their child ate paint??

I also can't believe you blamed Kmart for your negligence. If your daughter was with your mum as you say she was, then it's yor mum's fault.I get really annoyed when I see kids touching everything in shops.I always tell my kids that they are not to touch and they stay with me and do not wander off.You are lucky they didn't charge you for the paint.

"Other" sites have been alerted of this post, thats why Mands  laughing2.gif

Ok to sum up what has been learnt from this thread, so we can end it now.

1) The majority says Kmart did not owe me the $30 voucher because my child got paint on her.
2) I need eyes in the back of my head, that my child is my responsibility even when she isn't with me, and my mother is to blame.
3) Non ACT EB members post in the ACT board.
4) The outfit is still ruined, so I am still an outfit down.
5) I made a $7 profit.
6) Someone doesn't have the guts to personally attack me, and say who they are.
7) That I am not one to run to the mods and get my thread locked/deleted because people disagree with me.
8) Humour is a good thing in threads like these!
9) Some people don't know how to get their point across without aggression, and with tact.
10) A vent is a free for all, even if it's not in venting.
and last but not least
11) I really need to not type in a hurry when venting, because apparently I sound like a bogan/typical single mother (and am one according to some)!

Oh and I don't hate anyone who disagrees with me!

This thread has been great you read, so I will add my bit.

$30 for $23 outfit is a bit much.  You stated that the extra $7 was for the parking.  Kmart wouldnt get a cent from your parking fee.

As for the paints, its not Kmarts fault, for all you know a kid before you could of taken the lid off 10 minutes before you got there, and then your daughter picked it up and used it.

some words of wisdom for this thread - shame they weren't posted days earlier really
it is best learnt not to react to what is said on EB. Ignore and they will leave you alone, react and people will just fight with you.
hope you got what you wanted out of this thread, especially given that i know you haven't learnt yet how wrong your actions were in the eyes of 95% of the people around here

I was going to post a banging ones head against a wall smiley for you Karen, but I can't find them. rant.gif

Oh well, I'm sure most of us are already picturing it.

Karen, are you even allowed to post things of what I have said from other threads? Do you want a mod to lock this? I don't.

I said that in another thread, exactly because of this. She was reacting to other people jumping all over her, I tried to help calm her down.

I DID NOT REACT (and am not reacting now), to people defensively in this thread. I chose to brush it off, and answer and ask questions. What difference does it make to react, what happened happened.

If you want this thread to die, because it's so over, stop replying and trying to have the last word!

especially given that i know you haven't learnt yet how wrong your actions were in the eyes of 95% of the people around here

Ummm where did I say I haven't learnt anything? I've learnt that I reacted at the wrong person (Kmart and not my mother), I was upset my child had toxic paint in her mouth, and all over her brand new clothes. I have no idea why the paint was at child level.

I am still a outfit down, judge me if you want but I am keeping the voucher, I am not returning it. I am NOT going to tell you what I am doing with it, whether it be to give it to charity, or replace the outfit. That is up to me, and not under talks.

The dead horse is totally flogged now! No more replies from me.

PS: Karen, I still think you're cool!
PPS: I am not running to a mod to lock this, I want it open.
