I am considering going on the mini pill. I am worried it will change the taste of my milk and disturb my DD'S feeding. She is 7 months and LOVES breastfeeding?

What is your experience??

Everyone is different... but I started takeing the mini pill when breastfeeding my DS1 and he went off feeding!!  I can;t remember what age exactly, but I think he was around 4 or 5 months old.  Prior to taking the mini pill he was a great feeder.  A couple of days after I started on the pill he started refusing to feed.  It was very stressful, but I stopped taking it and about a week or two later things got back to normal.  I later got the Implanon inserted into my arm and he seemed fine with that but I had alot of bleeding and ended up getting that taken out also.

It's so hard to know what to do this time around.  I have had the Implanon put in again and after only about a week have started bleeding again.  Was considering trying the mini pill again, but we are already having feeding problems at the moment so I don;t want to make it worse!!

Good luck with whichever way you decide to go!!

I took the mini-pill from when DS was 7wks old. In my experience we didn't have any disruption or any sort of change in the way he fed. He always has and still does LOVE breastfeeding
