is it worth it
it's not the miracle answer to everything...but yes....yes it is worth it

I love it...
But be warned. It's an extremely daunting program to new users. Many will get turned off because they sit there starting at it waiting for something to happen and no idea where to start... Don't let that stop you!

Yep I agree it's a great tool but it can be a bit overwhelming to start with! I'd try and get hold of a Scott Kelby book (maybe your libraray would have one?) before you start the trial as I don't think you'll get much of a feel for the power of it just playing around by yourself.

is it worth it
is this a serious question?
yeah it is. everyone is right... it is a little overwhelming at first and i found that their help was quite confusing... however the online tutes are ok but i found just asking someone on here is pretty good too. soon enough you will be editing pics like no ones business.
without an SLR or even a fantastic point and shoot you can still get great pics just make sure you use lots of natural light without the really harsh full sun... when i am trying to get a professional look i usually set up a black or white sheet in front of a big fullsized window and sit between the light and my DD and click away until i get something decent!!

sorry to crash your thread OP, but Nut, I am one of those completely daunted by this. I bought one of Scott Kelbys books and can't even manage to get at the zipped files I downloaded to work on (they go with the 7 points of Photoshop book)
